I have been eating cheerios but would like to know of some other low carb cereal.

Also miss bread, got some low carb wraps that say 4 carbs on front but are listed as 19, they use some kind of subtraction on package for fiber making it 4 carbs, don't understand this.

Anyway, this is my two questions. Been doing this for about 5 weeks and lost 17 lbs, eating around 100 carbs or less.

Total carbohydrates-fiber = net carbs so I'll guess the tortillas you have are 19 total carbs -15 fiber=4 net carbs. MFP database entries do not reflect net carbs UNLESS you happen to select a correct one that states net in the title or you select an entry that happens to be from the UK or other area where carbs on their nutrition label already reflects the fiber being subtracted out.

When I ate cereal as a low carber I chose steel cut oats. I rarely eat it anymore. Pre weight loss I liked All-Bran. I think All Bran has a good amount of fiber. Not so with steel cut oats. I ate oats for the touted heart health. Now I eat eggs, omelets with lots of vegetables or Greek Yogurt (often with flaxseed meal for fiber).

I lost my weight eating low carb though I didn't realize it was low carb at the time. I just cut out all the things I ate that I tended to overeat (sweets, chips, etc). Easy way for me to cut the needed calories to get to a deficit.

You're doing GREAT! 17 pounds in 5 weeks is awesome. Are you still driving a school bus part time for special needs children or have you joined your husband in retirement?

I would look into a different breakfast option if you’re open to it. Cheerios may be a “lower” carb option than many other cereals but it’s far from being low carb.
Even with your 100g a day limit I can’t imagine it doesn’t use up a good deal of it and it’s not really providing anything great for you as far as satiety and nutrition. ALL of its nutrition is in fortification. Meaning, it wouldn’t have any at all if they didn’t add it.
Try some eggs and avocado maybe. Or even some low sugar berries and whole milk yogurt if you like a sweet type breakfast. You can do all sorts of things with yogurt to vary taste and be doing much better than Cheerios. Add some unsweetened toasted coconut flakes and almond slivers or even a little bit of shaved dark (85% or higher) chocolate.
Another option might be some nuts and cheese cubes even with a few berries sort of snack style.

I had horrible blood sugar issues (hypoglycemia) back when I was eating "healthy" Cheerios. I stay very far away- same goes for the wraps. Not worth it.

I like to eat cereal occasionally but most of it is simply not an option. However, I LOVE Trader Joe's Maple Nut Clusters cereal. It's not low in carbs (40g per cup), so I measure out a half cup. With milk, that's an acceptable compromise for me and I enjoy it.

My wraps (which are called "Tumaro's") have 13g of carbs in one. That is better than me eating a light bread which has 14g per slice which means 28g for a sandwich. I never use the net carb measurement...I feel more comfortable accepting the full carb number.

When you look at a label, check the total carbs, subtract the fiber and sugar alcohol if any and that will give you the net carbs. Do a search for a low carb cereal you can make yourself. I have seen one that is made with nuts and unsweetened coconut, I can't remember what else but you can probably find something that isn't hard to make. I would rather eat eggs and bacon or sausage for breakfast.

You could make your own cereal, here is a link to a a tasty one but I don't eat breakfast most days and when I do it is eggs, bacon, or a salmon scramble of salmon and eggs with capers and onion:

I use the lowest carb wraps I find, I'm in Colorado so there are several. Costco carries one that is 6 net that is larger then the ones in the grocery and only 2 carbs more so I use those.

kpk54, my husband does the bus also, yes me too, I have to stay busy. My husband is 57, 7 years younger than me so he has not retired. Glad the low carb is working for you, I will say I am less hungry eating this way

You could always look up a keto muffin recipe and make some up on the weekend to keep in the fridge and heat up for quick breakfasts during the week. Maybe not cereal, but closer to a traditional 'carb/grain' type breakfast if you miss that. https://ketosummit.com/keto-muffin-recipes
