Aug 19th -- Aug 25th
Stretch or Yoga, 30 minutes on the day of your choice. Rest on the day of your choice.
First Challenge
(Starts Aug19th)
50 Jumping Jacks
30 Squats
10 Burpees or 3X30 seconds wall sits
15 Pushups
40 Mtn. Climbers
Repeat One Time
Second Challenge
(Starts Aug 20th)
Punches with exaggerated twist to warm up 45 seconds: "DO MASON (RUSSIAN) TWISTS FOR 30 SECONDS!" on second set
Lunges: Do 10 lunges on each leg, repeat X 1 (add weights, a bar or dumbbells are fine)
Planks: Do each of the following for 40 seconds
Side Plank, Center Plank, Side Plank, then ten sit-ups (do bicycles if more is needed for sit-ups)
Repeat the Planks and Sit-ups one more time
Rows & Curls, do 1 set of 10 for each exercise, repeat X 1
Arnold Presses, do two sets of 10, rest 30 seconds between sets
Flys & Kickbacks, do 1 set of 10 for each exercise, repeat X 1
Repeat this Challenge Once (twice total) On the second round do Mason (Russian) twists for 30 seconds, feet off the ground.

Meeting w/our trainer this afternoon. She put me worked me hard Friday because I didn't do anything for a week while she was gone. I expect the same today! Yes!!!

10 burpees! When did that happen? Ok, got them in today. I did add in a pushup. Hope she took it easy on you Chris. I did the county commissioners meeting tonight after work. Then made 8 cups of frosting. Night all

Eight cups of frosting?? WOW! I'm waiting for DDD to send me the pic of Ronan eating his cupcake at his b'day party Saturday. Too cute!
My trainer worked me hard. I'm glad!

I still have about 8 more cups to make tonight to be sure I won't run short. And DH took some out and added peanut butter. He spread it on grahms! I stayed out of the living room where he was eating them. Safer to stay away!
Got in our workout this morning. My friends and my workout is only slightly different.
30 Jumping jacks
15 lunges
15 squats
10 pushups
5 burpees
1 minute wall sit
30 jumping jacks
15 lunges, opposite leg
30 seconds mountain climbers
15 squats
10 pushups
20 high knees
1 minute plank
Repeat
Might have missed something but you get the picture. Then we do about 10 minutes of yoga

Owwww, I am such a wimp. A half hour of walking today. Walking is good.
My husband and I are officially separated. We've been best friends for many years, but as we looked for a place to settle down together forever, it occurred to my inner self that it was just that - very good friends. So we've redefined who we are. Since I'm the one who initiated this, and it was a total blindside, I've been waiting for him to catch up. It looks like he's actually getting excited to meet someone new. Makes me very happy.
And scared.

Maynard died last night. He was going to the vet this morning, but didn't make it. He is the cat that has owned my heart for the last fourteen years. I'm just numb. I wake up and he isn't next to me, but it doesn't feel real that he's gone.

Paula, I am so sorry and so sad for you. Hard to lose a pet. Hard to end a marriage. Glad you guys are friends, though. That part helps, I think. We are here when you need us, just give us a yell!
And walking is good. 60 pounds good for me a while back! Go, Paula!
Gotta go now. Ronan's adventure.

Wow Paula. That must have been a scary revolution. Since you say you had been waiting for him to catch up this is not totally new for you. Just letting it all sink in. And Chris is correct, we are here for you. Wish I could walk with you. I enlarged Maynards photo to get a better look at him. He was a very handsome kitty in his tuxedo. Hugs to you.

Chris, Best wishes to Ronan. Does he know how special it is that his grandma will go all the way to Oakland for him. Special baby. Exciting!

Oakland was peppermint hell yesterday, both going and coming. UGH!!
