Ambitious in August

stalled weight and eating wise. lab work showing poor nutrition and weight gain.
Healthwise I need a very ambitious month.
1. need to lower weight.( 10lbs gaind since Easter
2. wean off Diet Coke again ( i am such an addict)
3. no fast food this month

Same boat as you just different waters.
Diet coke it is my crutch when things are bad. When work sees it they are like oh no is it that bad. I am like YEP. Have not done fast food mine has been ice cream as I am having hot flashes.0 -
I'm drinking way less Diet Coke, not even buying it for at home. I've turned to unsweetened iced tea but need to just drink more water. I don't know if I'll ever get rid of fast food entirely, but I can work that into my calorie budget. My problem has been the mindless snacking. I just switch from one food to another, until it's all gone. Son moves back to college on the 15th, not buying chips, ice cream, cheezits. If they aren't in the house, I can't eat them.
:-( I just realized I'm up 13# from the beginning of the year. Crap! Gotta get back to business!0 -
serious yo-yo nutrition here....making some progress then eating out with daughter and dad both twice a week!

I told my son we were gonna weigh ourselves and measure our waists before he leaves for school. Whoever has better progress when he comes home at Christmas will have to buy the other dinner at our favorite Greek place. If it's a tie, I'll buy! So this is our last week of goofing off, next week some hard choices will have to be made. There's money and creds on the line!1

I am not doing much better. Daughter leaves for Italy on Friday but has her life a mess here. The boyfriend even came to speak to me. Ugh!!!! All I want is for her to get her own place or move back home at this point. I am staying neutral but binge eating under the stress.1

daily weigh in..my cat insists on being the center of my morning first thing so this is how I weigh myself....she goes first...still yo-yo on weight for me.

Love your pictures!! Oh my daughter stopped in to give me a hug before leaving. Okay it's lucky I didn't break down and sob at work. As of right now her flight just landed in Italy. This will be the longest week ever. She has no phone so I have to wait til she buys one or e-mail s me.0

But worked on my open water swimming and will be in my first swimming race this week since High school....so 1.2 mile in open water if the waves aren't too bad.

2 weeks ago..such a silly swim...way too rough...we only made 1/4 mile.exact same spot we swim at...

Not only did I not lose weight last week, I gained! No huge surprise as I was 1000 calories over 3 times. I'm praying that now everyone has gone home/back to school, I can get back on track. All the ice cream is gone from my fridge. Almost all of the Fanny May Trinidads are gone. There are, sadly, no potato chips left.
Barb, I like my drinks over ice, with a straw. My cat likes to try and steal my straw! Luckily, he's only knocked over my water this week, no iced tea or diet coke!0
