Percentages: what's yours--mental vs implementation?

@TheCKIrwin mentioned the other day that his proverbial lightbulb went off when he realized his journey was 80% mental and the rest, presumably, the mechanics of healthier choices and eating less. (If I don't have this right, CK, feel free to correct it).
His statement made me nod my head in agreement with those percentages--they were similar for me. Once I wrapped my head around the fact that so much of this was about choices, and consequences of those choices, the smaller factor was about actually making different ones. The major obstacle had been between my ears for years--until it wasn't.
How about you? If you had to assign percentages to the different aspects of your weight loss journey, how would they fall out?

I agree that the mental percentage is much, much higher than the percentage of implementation.0

The percentages are not much different that those I find with doing long endurance events (hikes, trail runs, bike rides). It really is about 90% mental for me.1

Early years were 50/50 because Zi had a lot to learn the mechanics of proper eating (what/how much)
Now 80/20 or 90/10 if I just accept and eat just the same old thing!0 -
spot on @minimyzeme... the numbers are subjective, of course, but I've definitely found that no matter what I want to accomplish in life mindset is the most important thing. Put another way I've found if I have a strong enough WHY then HOW takes care of itself. What I find so interesting is that people seem to know this intuitively and yet still get hung up on the HOW. I think it's because we are constantly marketed to and sold the HOWs. The weight loss industry, after all, isn't really interested in people having long-term success. They're interested in creating long-term customers that are ready to buy the next magic plan, pill, or potion.0
