As many of us move into colder weather and a few of us move into warmer weather, what is your favorite outdoor activity?
Mine is horseback riding anywhere in nice weather and hiking in Arizona in the winter.

Yes x3 today.
My favourite winter outdoor activity is skiing followed by hiking. In summer I like snorkelling or bike riding.8 -
My favorite year round is horseback riding. I am fortunate to have an indoor arena available for winter ... unheated, but makes riding doable mist winter days.7

Exercise - 2h mtb ride
Calories - yes
Tracked - yes
Mtb ride was supposed to be 1h30 but how do you turn around and go back home when the landscape is breathtaking? Loved that trail, I'll go back on my long ride during the weekend and hopefully take pictures. I love the mist on the hills at the first light of day.
Fav outdoor activities, guess I'm always training outdoor regardless of the weather, which sometimes is a miserable affair. But I got really taken with mountain biking. There's something in coming home with an outrageously dirty mtb that screams I had just so much fun!10 -
October 8-10 Pass!
ah well i completely fell off the wagon so far this month, and completely slacked on self care. i haven't been active and got stuck in a stress-eating cycle. i brought this all upon myself and i have no good excuse.
but i feel so awful & i can't stand it so i gotta get back on track now! my goal today is to take a walk and do an hour-long stretch (i've been glued to a computer screen all week).
i was gonna drop out cuz i already knew i wasn't gonna be in the winner's circle but i'm gonna stay because i gotta prove to myself that i can balance work with self care, while keeping myself accountable
my favorite outdoor activity is helping out with yardwork, or walking around town all day. i would like to start running & gardening though!10 -

Good for you! That decision alone make you a winner
One of my favorite outdoor activity is taking long walks, especially early in the mornings where I can still feel the dew, and hear the birds singing.

Walking and cycling. I'm another whatever the weather person. I need fresh air. My mother has compared my needs to those of a dog before but I think that goes for all humans!

That's the right attitude for success! You are accountable to none other than yourself. The rest of us are here for support!

Exercise? Yes, 45 minutes walking. (Not my exercise...but I also enjoyed watching our granddaughter play soccer this evening!)
Calories? Within allowance
Tracked? Everything logged.
In my younger days, I enjoyed snow skiing, ice skating, swimming and water skiing. At my mature age, I recognize my limitations and pretty much stick with walking/hiking; although I have been known to briefly (and I mean VERY briefly) get on a trampoline with my grandchildren. I make them hold my hands though ! They are better at balance than I am.

I have always thought that when kids or dogs come home full of mud and dirt of various kinds it means they've been having fun. Nice to see that it applies to grownups too.

Favorite outdoor activity:I love walking with my dog and husband...my favorites are picking new neighborhoods to walk around, and more recently, University / museum campuses. Didn't realize until this year that most of these are open to the public. You can log MILES exploring the big schools.4

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, 26.45 KM (16 mi) bicycle ride. Shorter than yesterday, but pushed harder on the upgrade at the start. 1:37:08 16.3 KM/h avg.

Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes.
Favorite winter activity? I no longer know. Years ago, I would have said Ice Climbing, or maybe Nordic skiing, but I haven't been very active in recent winters. I hope to change that in the next one. It will likely be hiking and bicycling as their great virtues are low cost and that either can be done alone
On a side note, whilst speaking with a friend on the phone last night, she asked if other people tried to discourage me from making dietary changes. I said no, there aren't many other people in my day-to-day life, and very few that I share meals with. The one exception happened when I told a couple of my biker pals that I was cutting out beer and restaurants except for special occasions. They reacted like I had become insane.6 -

Today is one of my extra long days in which I get home at 10 p.m. I enjoy public speaking so the actual presentation is fun, but afterwards, I am just tired.
Nonetheless,
Today was a yes X 3. I don't usually take that shortcut, but tonight, I will.
