Hello, my name is Dora I have been on my fitness pal for some time but never took part in the features the app has to offer and when I saw this challenge I had to take part because of the need for daily accountability.

Hi everybody! I'm brand new to this group, but super excited to join an accountability group and hopeful that it will keep me on task. I'm 30 years old and have been struggling with losing weight over the years, especially since being diagnosed with PCOS about 9 years ago (I've gained 80 lbs in those 9 years. Ugh).
I'm determined that NOW is the time that I will stick with my goals, and have actually already lost 12 lbs after starting out on October 1st.
I've been doing a lot of calorie bargaining over the month ("Oh man, I ate way too many cookies. I should probably do the 45 minute Turbo Jam to compensate!"), and I think that's my biggest thing to work on this month (and I think this group is just what I needed to keep me focused on that).
I look forward to getting started with you guys!5 -
Hi,
This is my first UAC and I'm excited for the accountability!

Hiya! *waves*
This is my first time being involved in any part of the MFP community despite being an old-guard member. I'm a powerlifting, boxing, running, indoor climbing, tennis, hiking, horseriding, and general-outdoors fanatic. I love food and sun. Went from 308lb (too wide) to 130lb (too narrow), developed some unhealthy eating behaviours, and am still trying to grapple with 'em. Currently at 191 lbs (made some poor Halloween choices tonight) and looking to lean out by about 15-20lbs.
I love to walk everywhere (I live in Australia, it's utterly gorgeous hereI- generally end up doing anywhere between 10kms - 20kms a day), and I love weight training even more, but I eat too much. It's that simple. I overeat (because of the mild obsession with food/eating I developed when I I was too narrow) and am trying to solve that.
Aims:
1. Increase my bench press, overhead press, deadlift and squat 1RM/PBs by at least 1kg by EOM
2. Eat like a human. No bingeing after the meal is over
3. Stick as close to Keto/Paleo/primal as possible - minimal sugar, no grains
4. Be calmer about food
5. Exercise every day - strength 4 x a week, cardio 2 x times a week, and 1 day of just walking
6. Stretch more!!! I'm hypermobile, but considering how much strain I put my body through, is no wonder I'm always stiff and sore6 -
Hi All, this is my first month with this challenge. I’m a busy 41-yr old mom of four. I’m losing my last 10-15 pounds, and I’m finding that it’s coming off sooo slowly that I get bored or discouraged. I think it will be nice to be challenged about the logging and exercise every single day, especially before the holidays hit.5

Question: do we have to log water? I usually don’t log things that don’t have any calories.0
-
@suzievv, I don’t1
-
@suzievv If calorie counting your only concern, don't bother. I log my water in a separate app (plant nanny) because I have troubles remembering to drink water otherwise.1

Hi everyone! I am excited for starting tomorrow! I'm 27 years old and in full time school. 10 to 15 lbs close to goal weight, currently not exercising so I am looking forward to starting that! See you all in the check in post tomorrow 😊5

Hi,
This is my first ever challenge. I am really excited that this will be the step I need to take that’ll hold me accountable and help me break my plateau. I am 25 years old and have about 30 pounds to lose. I had a major weight loss last year but gained it back. I struggle with binge snacking when stressed out and have no self control with certain foods. I will be dedicated myself for the month of November and hope to see results!
Goodluck everyone!

Hi, I am new to the group, can’t wait until tomorrow. I have been exercising but not tracking to my best abilities. I am 36 years old and live in Southern California. I teach high school so I don’t eat well during the day. My goal is to plan each work day. Can’t wait for the challenge to start.4

@suzievv
I don't log water. It's your choice as to whether it is important for you to log water or not. For some, a reasonable amount of water tracked daily is enough to ward off some of those extra calories that might otherwise be consumed.2 -
Ok, thanks everyone. I’ll just continue with my plan to log everything that has calories, including vitamins etc, but nothing that doesn’t contain any calories— unless I want to make an extra effort to track water.2

Last month was my first month and was a plateau-breaker for me .... it's amazing what consistent data-gathering (and acknowledging) turns up that you weren't even aware you were doing .... Hope to see you (and myself too LOL) in the Winners Circle at the end of the month.3 -
Hi, my name is Jo (female). 2nd month in. I dropped out in October: had a very strong flu early in the month; later I had to travel and couldn't track. I turned 40 last year, had a challenging family situation and regained 35 lbs I had lost AND maintained for one year prior to that. So yes I am trying to lose weight. I am back on track now. Currently at BMI 34.2 and would like to end up at BMI 22! That's a long way to go. I'll be here for a while.
Last month the UAC helped me especially to add some activity in my daily life on the days I didn't exercise. Helped me forgo that one last bite so I could stay within my calorie budget. And it's been both motivating and inspiring to read everybody's daily sign ins.2 -
Hello! I am very new to MFP but for years I was with the Weight Watchers where I picked up a lot of good habits. I have not lost much weight but I learned tracking. I loved their community aspect so I was grateful to find this group. I was looking for a space , which would help me to be accountable.
A few words about myself. I am 53 , live in Washington DC area for the last 30 years but originally I am from Krakow ,Poland. I love being active but I also like to eat, maybe too much? Anyway, sending my best regards to all of you in this group and I will look around to know you better.1 -
@robin153 We are pleased to have you on our UAC team! You are welcome to jump in at any time for accountability.1
