The Phelps Hotel in downtown Cincinnati.
I'm driving from Chicago area in the NE of Illinois to Cincinnati, Ohio (about 6 hours) for a 3 day tax law conference. I'm a tax, estate and long life attorney. I get my kicks learning how to save people tax dollars while helping them plan for long lives.
I'll not get to the hotel until late, so I'm posting ahead of time to open Wednesday's discussion

Happy Hump Day!!!!!!! I'm Down Under so I run on a different timeline, so forgive me for posting what might seem like at the wrong time. It's currently 11:30am
Exercised: Yes! Not active cardio, but I did the 12km hike from my house along all the beaches and the lighthouse near my office - not a bad way to get to work.
Calories: None yet for today, I'm trying to slowly either develop a consistent Intermittent Fasting approach and not start my eating window until 1pm, but we'll see.
Tracked: Yessir!
I DID identify part of what causes me to lapse in food choices - being at the office too late in the day. If I leave the office before 5:30pm, I'm usually on track for a decent day of choices. The problem is I work long hours because I have a lot to do, and have a bad habit of not being able to stop a task halfway.
So, I usually end up working late, and by that time, everone's left the office. That means that I have almost free reign of the well-stocked kitchen, because there's no one around to, I guess, "stop" me/"see" me/make me accountable/uphold my reputation for being the resident "fit and healthy" person.
SO - from now on - NEW DECISION. Unless absolutely necessary, Self, you leave this office by 5:30pm at the latest each day, and you brush your teeth at 5pm. NO EXCUSES.10 -
Yes x3 today. First proper gym session for a few weeks this morning, it felt good!8

Exercised?: Yes (5km in 39 mins - hills).
Calories?: Yes
Tracked?: Yes
Little rain today, but cold for this time of year. Good walk before lunch.
My wife saw her Diabetes specialist today. He was "blown away" with the progress she had made. 19kg (40 lbs) lighter than last time she saw him. Hb1AC down from 8.2 to 4.8 (and over 2 months with no insulin injections). She has also been taken off one of the 3 oral medications (glyade from memory) and permission to take self off others (one at a time) if the blood sugar readings remain low. LDL cholesterol also lower.
She will be the first type 2 diabetes patient he has had that looks like having a complete reversal of symptoms.
Eventual aim is to be off ALL medication.
Needless to say, my wife was overjoyed with the outcome (and so am I).12 -

Do you feel like sometimes going on a "diet break"? Giving up? Are you feeling down? Are you tired?

The fact still remains that 55% of those who lose weight will not keep it all off, 20% will return to their previous weight and 20% or so will gain even more weight then they lost. That leaves 5% to win the championship and make a true lifestyle change.
I want to be one of them.
I also want to be amount the 5% to win the championship and make a true lifestyle change. I want to leave this legacy to my family members and love ones. I want to motivate my children, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends far and wide, uncles, aunties, etc., etc., I want them to remember me as one who stuck to the end and made a "true lifestyle change". Therefore, they can also success.

Another day of surprises. Went out for my bike ride this morning and I can tell you it was hard. Got back thinking I really sucked at climbing today...then it turns out I did the main climb in more than a minute less than my best time. Uh??

@victorious55 I, too, desire to be in the 5%. The only issue is that it will, ultimately, take a lifetime to know if we were successful in achieving that goal. A lifetime is a long time to wait for the "championship." I perceive the journey as an ongoing process for which some days are better than others...but we should surely keep trying. Yesterday, I drove until 1am. Nonetheless, I had a 3 yes day!
Today, I have tracked my intake and intentionally walked outside for exercise. It’s hard to fulfill the UAC standards but I did it!! 3 yes again4 -
