    My report:
    Yesterday, I drove until 1am. Nonetheless, I had a 3 yes day!
    Today, I have tracked my intake and intentionally walked outside for exercise. It’s hard to fulfill the UAC standards but I did it!! 3 yes again

    Little rain today, but cold for this time of year. Good walk before lunch.

    My wife saw her Diabetes specialist today. He was "blown away" with the progress she had made. 19kg (40 lbs) lighter than last time she saw him. Hb1AC down from 8.2 to 4.8 (and over 2 months with no insulin injections). She has also been taken off one of the 3 oral medications (glyade from memory) and permission to take self off others (one at a time) if the blood sugar readings remain low. LDL cholesterol also lower.

    She will be the first type 2 diabetes patient he has had that looks like having a complete reversal of symptoms.

    Eventual aim is to be off ALL medication.

    Needless to say, my wife was overjoyed with the outcome (and so am I).

    The fact still remains that 55% of those who lose weight will not keep it all off, 20% will return to their previous weight and 20% or so will gain even more weight then they lost. That leaves 5% to win the championship and make a true lifestyle change.

    I also want to be amount the 5% to win the championship and make a true lifestyle change. I want to leave this legacy to my family members and love ones. I want to motivate my children, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends far and wide, uncles, aunties, etc., etc., I want them to remember me as one who stuck to the end and made a "true lifestyle change". Therefore, they can also success.

    I think the percentage of champions is rising with food tracking apps & fitness trackers, and support groups like UAC.

    We are no longer alone; we get ideas from each other. Calorie counting is SO easy now. I think great advances have been made, too, in realizing that success is often the result of gradual habit changes!

    @craigo3154 Thanks for sharing this. I don't have any health issue so sometimes it can seem abstract that weight is a major health risk. Stories like your wife's make it more real.

    @victorious55 I read those stats and a lot of them talk about success if you've intentionnally lost at least 10% of body weight and kept it off for at least 1 year. Two years ago here I lost 35 lbs and I did keep it off for one year. And then I regained. Yes hopefully we will all be in the 5% but it is a lifelong commitment.

    Exercised?: Yes. Nice muscle ache from one of the YouTube videos I am trying. I normally walk but I really should move my upper body more.

    I almost went over just because I ate something unplanned in the morning, and I had already prelogged my dinner. And then I thought "Am I contractually obligated to eat this particular dinner today?". I just felt ridiculous how the prelogging that's supposed to help me plan becomes like an obligation.
