Fruit....friend or enemy?

struggling to lose weight while trying to keep blood sugars in check. I'm trying to limit my calories to 1500-1800 per day. I'm trying really hard to cut back the carbs and have been pretty successful. My problem is fruit. I always have cut up melon in the fridge and it seems to be my go to snack. Anyone have any other sweet, cool suggestions to snack on that won't raise my bs too high

I have no suggestions and I am looking for replacement food also! I want to have 1 carb choice (~15g) in the AM with my breakfast, and I just realized yesterday that my bananas that I've been enjoying so much are 2 carb choices and the carrots I've recently started eating are also a carb! I can't win! I want to eat healthy but my healthy is becoming too carby! HELP!0
