I'm really happy to read everyone's posts. It's December and this team is kicking it! Thanks for sticking with the team and not disappearing. Well done, everyone!

Yes x3 today. Ended up doing over 20,000 steps so really easy to stay under in calories. Today is the only day this week I don't have some Christmas celebration to go to so also easy to track everything!9

Guess I have to check myself out of the challenge for this month for not following through on accountability. Just haven’t gotten used to that part. I’ve tracked and stayed within my calories every day; have not gotten 20 mins every day but some. The cold weather reaks havoc on my body with arthritis so I’m not going out much at all. I’m retired and stay inside as much as possible to avoid it. Next month I’ll try again. Everyone keep up the good work!!!8

Don't go...don't go. It's OK. I'm retired and don't like the cold either! Your exercise can be tailored to what your strengths and weaknesses might be and need not be outdoors. Much of my exercise is indoors in my living room. Just continue to report in...that is number one for accountability. You may be out of the Winner's Circle, but none of us are successful 100% of the time. Hang in there...you just need to continue to show up to be ALMOST there! @RangerRickL post today is critical for your mindset..."We ARE Better Together."11 -

@feelingbetterthanevernow , also read the top of the Dec 8 thread! all about how the 3-Pass rule is only for a target, and that NO-ONE is "off the challenge" if they take more ... just keep on practicing the accountability.
Let us know what you CAN manage, maybe someone can make suggestions - and remember that 20 minutes of NEAT (NON-exercise activity) counts too. There are MFP threads with lots of NEAT examples that might inspire you ... chair-exercise videos on YouTube if weight-bearing is a problem from the arthritis ....10 -

Exercised?: No.
Calories?: Yes
Tracked?: Yes
Did not get out for a walk today (quite warm) and did not do my usual make up bodyweight exercises when I don't get out.
Well under for calories though.
Will try get back to my usual tomorrow (weather permitting - bad weather is expected).
Another note is that is that the TV has been fixed (after being affected by a lightning strike over a week ago). Still not perfect (some mild screen discolouration - so may still get a replacement), but good enough for now. Was much cheaper to fix than new. However did not/could not know about the discolouration until it was fixed. Original plan was to wait till post Christmas sales (bigger here in Aus than Black Friday), but fixing was cheaper than any on-sale replacement could be.

@feelingbetterthanevernow. Need to echo the sentiments of @w8goal4life. @BMcC9. and @roma49. Hang in there and stay with us.
You sound like you are doing the important stuff right (tracking and staying in budget). It's just the exercise/activity part that is a problem for you.
With exercise, it need not be gym, sport, hard exercise, etc.. Activity is fine (for example,: housework, gardening, cleaning, active day with a lot of steps). I have days where I am out on my feet all day at drone races helping set up and pack up. That counts.
The most important part is being conscious about what you eat. Get that right and lack of activity can be compensated for. The activity component is to help you enjoy the health you will maintain by eating correctly (ie. rarely to excess).

Ugghhh I'm taking my 2nd pass day. I have come down with something and have a terrible sore throat. So, no exercise and too many calories eating comfort food. I'll try to do better tomorrow.8

@feelingbetterthanevernow I agree with what has been said before. I am also retired, and I mostly exercise at home my living room. All activity counts!6

No distractions with special events today. Got lots of exercise in.
Exercise:
Am: 35 mins lower body, 75 mins walking at the mall
Pm: 60 mins interval walking watching Christmas movie on TV
After dinner: 35 mins armology, 32 mins yoga
Calories: Way under goal. I had minimal snacks
Tracked: Yes. I eat similar things each week, so I have started logging my food a week ahead, then adjusting it on the day5 -
Pass day #1. I made a gluten free bread pudding for my husband (who has celiac disease) and he liked it so much he talked me into sharing. It was seriously good and I went over my calories!
Exercise was good with a brisk 20 minute walk, 10 minutes warm up on the exercise bike, and a crazy intense core workout. Still not enough to counteract the pudding. Sigh.6 -

I had a fun day today. Usually, in December, I don't schedule any public speaking events. This month, I have 3. I enjoy teaching. Today was my first presentation and I have 2 more scheduled. It's just fun to relate.
Calories: gosh I got really close to a pass today
Tracking: good
Exercise: I am guarding my ankle. Today, I used my Schwinn Air-dyne, old school exercise bike and active stretching for a total of 37 minutes. Tomorrow, I'm going to try cardio intervals with my rowing machine and stretching.6 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes - 58 minutes on the mini-trampoline
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes, thanks to exercise calories .... needed about half of what I earned just to break even, but still had just under the usual un-burned number at the end of the day.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes - managed to handle the office Christmas Brunch Out through exercise and how the calories for the rest of the day were organized.
Non-scale victory .... I don't even THINK about getting popcorn at the movies .... the last time I did (in the summer), I found it soooo much more salty and disagreeably greasy than I remembered. Give me Air-Popped popcorn every time, now!

Calories - yes
Tracked - yes
I'm coming down with the flu, which sucks because I'm not eating enough and this run was like my last act before to crash down completely. Guess I'll get over it.6 -
Exercise - yes
calories - no , crashed and burned - strike 2 for the month

When Ive gone over before I have tended to not track. I've found tracking good whatever because it shows me what I am going, even if it isn't good2
