snack break

I have been eating popcorn for my 9am snack but I want to eliminate the carbs from my diet. I get really tired of carrot sticks and I love the way the popcorn takes time to eat and so I enjoy my break. Any ideas?

    Chicharrones, zero carbs,100% crunch, I also use them instead of crackers and chips for crackers and cheese and dips and chips etc.

    one of my favorite brands because of their attitude toward food and variety of flavors. I probably sound like i work for them, given how much I love their stuff but I do not! You can order from them, through amazon or find in some specialty stores.

    i'm not a giant fan of carrots for a variety of reasons, including the amount of natural sugars in them. If you're looking for a veg I much prefer radishes. I dip them in salted plain Greek yogurt and it's a great snack.

    1 oz of popcorn (approx 3 1/2 cups popped) is like 17g net carbs - 21 total carbs...and that's a lot of popcorn.

    If you really like it for a snack then cut the carbs somewhere else and keep it.

    Well, I am struggling to cut carbs but boy is that hard as I love bread and everything carb related. Maybe I could cut my oatmeal in the morning and switch to a egg.

    What are your reasons for wanting to cut carbs @michellegatz5424 ? Focusing on that/those reasons may help. You are likely on the right track by finding easy substitutions at first. instead of traditional oatmeal, there are many "notoatmeal" recipes out there online and on this forum in fact.
