Ughhh pass day #1! Lousy weather kept me inside, I hoped to at least get a walk in. Even worked from home so I barely moved all day.
The only other exercises I can do inside are my knee rehabs, but it doesn't even come close to 20 min. Oh well, onward!6 -
Yes x3. Did 25 minutes of strength training this afternoon. Thought I’d do some walking around the indoor track during my daughter’s badminton class. I walked 15 minutes then I started jogging.. I don’t really like running and haven’t run at all since the summer. I’ve been doing more strength training than cardio so I wasn’t sure how my lungs would handle it. Ended up running 30 minutes before my knees and ankles had had enough. I am going to be sore tomorrow!
I use my food scale and love the scanner option to track.6 -

I think actually measuring and or weighing good is absolutely key. When we guess, we tend to underestimate quantities.

My report:
Exercise: I have a new exciting exercise experience...increasing my fitness to be able to climb up North Mountain that steep path. The last several years, I could hike up its paved pathway. But that route is closed for renovations. Today I started up the clambering side. It’s fun! Total effort was 57 minutes
I’ve got a long way to go to the summit

As for today's discussion, for me to stay in my calorie range, I need to understand how to read a food label and understand the difference between a suggested serving, portion size I actually eat, and how many calories are in the entire package.
Understanding the "math" to the calories has been key for me in gaining control over my weight and on the road to getting healthy.4 -

Exercise: 30 minutes of a cardio on youtube, plus a freezing walk for my 30 minute lunch break. 13053 steps for the day.

Pass #1 for me.
Bad news when I got home from my standing Monday evening commitment .
So didn't do the second 10 minutes of exercise and therefore was 3 calories over the limit.
A very dear friend of my mom's died the day after her 97th birthday ... basically of "old age" ... known me since the day I was brought home from the hospital ... the kind of lady you wish WAS your grandma, instead of your actual in-town-grandma ...

Exercise: Yes! I did a 20 min walk at work, 1 hour Cross-fit class, and I did some stretches and body weight stuff at home!
Calories: Yes, I was way under today but I just wasn't hungry (which never happens) so I didn't force myself to eat anything else.
Track: Yes
Lots of good discussion on today's thread. It always amazes me to see the serving sizes on nutrition labels. It is so misleading and frustrating!6 -
