REALLY funny video by Tom Naughton. If you don't know him, first watch Supersize Me, then Fathead Movie (as to why the supersize me movie was *kitten*), and then watch this talk by him. Or just watch this talk...So funny!

Thanks for that link. He has a new movie coming out for kids, too. He's making the podcast rounds lately. http://www.fathead-movie.com/index.php/fat-head-kids-club/

Fascinating. I wish I could have shared this with my grandfather who was deceived by doctors for years and ended up with diabetes etc.

USDA is mostly farmers, not doctors...the guidelines are based on what we produce as a nation, not what the human body should eat.

He is so good with his presentation of information! I do wish everyone could see this, as well as his other productions, and learn about the deception from the experts! As a nurse I see the results of their advice all the time!

    That was freaking hilarious!

And insightful and inspiring. I love it when he says his goal is not to change the dietary advice that the USDA is giving people, but rather to get people to stop listening to it. I realized recently that I take for granted that the information about what constitutes a healthy diet is so readily available that everyone should know it. Two of my co-workers were talking about avoiding fat in their diets, and I had to remember that not everyone seeks out the "wisdom of crowds" these days, and instead still looks to the "anointed" for their advice. It was all I could do to bite my tongue and not yell, "EAT THE BUTTER!!!"

I know @MyriiStorm I have to bite my tongue a lot too! It’s so sad but people have to figure this out for themselves! It can’t be forced on them!! They just won’t listen!! I’ve tried!!

His take on the EAT Lancet article...
    http://www.fathead-movie.com/index.php/2019/01/28/eat-me-lancet-these-people-are-a-perfect-example-of-the-anointed

I get annoyed by that article and the Lancet because they have published stuff that shows that a diet like that is not healthy. And then my government makes a new food guide almost along the same lines. .. bah, nutrition science drives me crazy, so I like his more light hearted take on things.

I get annoyed with those types of articles too! So tired of these rich vegan types trying to tell me how I should eat!
