OT: Weird Quirks of Insurance Coverage

The claims adjuster was at the house on Saturday. We'll do okay.

Interesting tidbit of info that we did not know. Our property is about 75% trees. Each tree has a monetary value and is covered under our policy for fire or lightning damage. But, not for snow.

The oddities of insurance.

    Go figure, a lightning act of god event but not snow. So I suppose it's (s)no(w) use for that.

    yeah and here a broken pipe would be covered unless it floods your basement then if you don't have the rider your furnace, washer/dryer, furniture is gone and no $ to replace them. even if you have the rider you are limited to either 5k or 10K only.
