Exercised?: Yes - 62 minute brisk walk (very brisk, as i could see the heavy rain clouds coming!)
Calories?: Yes - under target.
Tracked?: Yes - every bite.
Happy St Patrick's Day to you all! 🍀6 -
This is my first “true” pass day - I’ve not eaten outside my menu
Could not force myself to eat more oatmeal yesterday. 🤢
My body said, uh, flavor please?
deprivation = not good
I’m at a nice brunch *for me*.
I’m going to have a strawberry Belgian waffle, bacon, and a HUGE cup of java. 🍓
Note from table - my waffles are cut in the shape of a 3 leaf clover (I guess 4 would have been over *their* calorie budget 🤣 ☘️
They put some weird arugula pieces for green garnish effect. 🤔
Ate two leaves. Bacon. Going to enjoy my coffee for a looonnnggg time, and boxed the third clover for home.
And happy to track this.
Hmmm maybe not an “honorary pass day” after all?
Can I eat and *enjoy* food without using it?
Happy St. Patrick’s Day from me and Buffy! 🍀
~any which way but loose~7 -
LOVE the Buffy picture.
And yes, you CAN eat and enjoy food without using a Pass day. Let us know how the totals turn out!6 -
@BWcC9 Thank you! I hope to move her from leash training someday to perhaps some trusted side by side with me. Also - I can’t wait ti take her on some nature walks in the woods. Will let everyone know the count EOD.
Maybe I should allow my calorie goal to be updated with exercise like others do here.
I didn’t list my NSVs:
I lost ~ 20lbs in 6 months prior to joining MFP, which makes a total of ~29 lbs lost in 8 months.
Totally got rid of fast food, junk food, sugared beverages except coffee. Etc.
Then I’ve done much more here.
The reason I mention weight in NSV is that I had a CT scan 8 months back showing a huge fatty liver.
This month I had a CT - totally NORMAL.
I can feel my sharp elbow, shins, knee caps.
I can see the big scar on my back for the FIRST time clearly.
My clothes fit better - many were too loose to put on anymore.
Any GI issues pretty much gone IBS, etc - except my acid reflux which is abating.
Much less pressure noticed on one knee which used to crack.
A lot of lymph edema reduced/gone.
I feel much clearer, too.9 -
Day 3 of my return and I've logged everything again. Still not within the budget, but it's still progress.
Although no actual exercise, I did have an active day thanks to work and walking to meet my lift. Although I can't actually feed most of the animals, I was senior on duty and had many very new staff so they needed supervising. I did end up feeding my favorite seal because she refused to eat from anyone else!
On leave for a week now and planning to go for a run tomorrow morning to get back into this exercise thing...8 -

Went out to eat and to the movies with friends. Ate at Moe's and chose wisely, then passed when the popcorn bucket was passed. In the past, I would have mindlessly eaten out of the bucket, especially when there are free refills. No desire to partake! Huge NSV!!9 -

Gonna cut back my calories .. realized I've had MFP set to loose 0.5 lb / week. Id like to see some faster progress than that. The joys of being short! Not a whole lot of wiggle room when 1500/day is a luxury.8 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Sort of. I did not do a formal, official walk today because we did a LOT of walking around several antique stores. I got my steps, but since I didn't do a real exercise session, I'm going to call today a Pass Day.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank - yes.

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Ran 13.1 miles today during my fourth half-marathon. Finished in 2:35:56, which is a PR for me and my fastest half yet! Can't wait to see if I can better that time at my next half at the end of April.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes and I closed it with 900 calories still to go. I'm finally full! LOL If I end up needing a snack later, I'll add it, but I'll still be under.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yep!4 -

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes - 76 minutes on my mini-trampoline (during and after watching an episode of Death in Paradise, where the hurricane was supposed to disguise a murder as just another casualty. This series set in the Caribbean has been a great choice during this looooooong winter. )

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? yes, treadmill for an hour. I can't wait until I'm completely healed from my surgery then I'll get to start working my upper body again!! Getting on here every day is making me realize how bored I am with treading every day. It'll definitely be refreshing to get back to work in the gym and change things up.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? no(3 out of 3 Pass Days used) I let myself fall off the keto platform today and when I do that I tend to overeat. But I'll be back on it tomorrow morning
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? yes4 -
@Kwinnero Do you mind sharing what kind of surgery you had? And what kind of training you usually do? I'm having surgery this year to donate my kidney to a friend and curious how long others are taking to recover from their surgery (even if it is a different one) and get back to training. Of course I'm currently on limited training after surgery to fix a broken arm as well. This year didn't exactly go as planned so far5
