Fun exercise, has anyone done this?

Many of us do the weekly weigh-in thread, and we often say "I'm up by XX pounds, but I know why...<insert excuse>." I certainly do the same thing!
I was looking at my weight chart since re-dedicating myself to taking off those "last 10-15 pounds," and I was lamenting to myself how great things were at the beginning, but how I've seemed to lose focus lately. My weight has been bouncing around without a downward trend for a couple of months at least.
Then I got to wondering if I've been honest with myself, particularly with regards to my excuses. So...I pulled my weight chart since re-dedicating myself (Jan 1, 2019), and I mapped out my most common excuses--travel and holidays.
I am actually kind of surprised by the good correlation between "events" and "inability to lose weight."

It probably time to really think about how I manage travel and holidays, and if I'm willing to do the hard work required to get these two pieces figured out (with regards to weight management).
So...has anyone else tried to correlate their weight and their excuses, and used those data to rework their plan (particularly around their excuses)?

After some digging, I can see NO correlation between holidays and big upticks. Almost all big upticks are from my weekends. Conversely, my best Friday weights never seen to align with lower than average weekend intake.
Guess still a work in progress.0 -
@steveOmania I like that you went back in your record. I have done that but not the extent of posting those dates as you have but I have checked my behavior and trips as they correlate to the rises in weight including trips etc;.
I'm going to perform that exercise again so thanks for the post. Great help I believe.0
