Tough day yesterday. Tired, and going to start my period, there was cake at work and low self control. After the cake I sort gave up. I logged it all and when I completed my entry MFP told me my projected weight in 5 weeks if every day was like yesterday... wow!
Back at it today.1 -
Glad you got back in that saddle, @beloved0922. Work has horrible challenges sometimes.

My scale is in! I weighed today, and either I gained weight or my old scale was way off! Can we use my new correct weight as my starting weight?0 -
No internet last night so posting yesterday's daily check-in:
Exercise? Yes, forgot & left FitBit charging so not sure how exactly much was accomplished.
Calorie budget? 6 over, it was our anniversary last night so I splurged on sharing dessert w/DH (I think/hope the extra exercise took care of those extra 6 calories!)
Log food/drink? Yes, every bit0 -

May Week 1
PW: 137.9 pounds
CW: 136.6 pounds
I am sooooo stoked and proud of myself!
I am down 1.3 pounds in 1 week.
I have lost 3 pounds in the last 2 weeks.
I lost 4 pounds from April 1st to May 1st.
I have been doing great with my weight loss since February 13th as from December to February I had fallen off the wagon and eaten WAY too much junkfood and WAY too much sugarand then my February bloodwork said I was pre-diabetic which scared me
so since then I re-lost the weight I had gained back and lost "new" weight as well.
I still have a long way to go when it comes to healthy eating as I have a sweet tooth and I still hate cooking so making healthy meals is a challenge for me but I am trying harder with healthier eating and exercising and the scale is showing me that my changes and improvements are helping and making a difference and I am hoping that my doctor will let me do my bloodwork again in August so I can see if I was able to get out of the pre-diabetic range and back into the normal range again.
To be honest, the fact that I have been so successful losing weight these past few months had me recently questioning if something was wrong with me internally as I usually fluctuate between losses and gains but for the past while I have had way more weeks with losses than gains and when I was in the 150s and the 140s I kept bouncing around up and down and it seemed to take forever to get out of those ranges but since getting into the 130s I seem to be able to still lose or maintain within the 130s even if I have a gain which is surprising since I am getting close to my goal weight when it is usually harder to lose weight. Hopefully I am just worrying myself over nothing and that my weight loss is from all the hard work and better decisions I am making when it comes to my health. The mind can sure mess us up!!!!! Here I am being super successful with my weight loss then questioning if something is wrong with me! OH YOI!
I am down 33.5 pounds from my highest weight.

Weigh in week: May week 1
Weigh in day: Wednesday
Previous Week's weight: 230.0
Todays Weight: 225.1 (-4.9)
Wow. I am surprised and proud of this, although I think I may be losing too fast. I’ve been counting my calories on MfP for lightly active which was telling me to eat 1750 calories to lose 1.5lbs a week. I lost a total of 9.8lbs in April which is almost 2.5lbs/week.
I’m wondering if I should keep doing this for another month based on what MfP is saying to lose 1.5lb/week and being lightly active? Or should I change it to 1lb a week or change it to active..... to increase my daily calories.
Don’t get me wrong, I love seeing the numbers go down but I want to be sure I’m doing it in a healthy way.
Thanks for your input 🙂1 -

@inshapeCK, I am so happy for your success! That's incredible!
@hickchic67, Happy Belated Anniversary!!
@Colleen790, nice loss!
@bdashnay, wowza! I'm not sure, but I've seen lots of talk about losing slowly. I'll let others with more experience weigh in on this. Maybe @craigo3154 would have some insight for you.

@bdashnay Everything I’ve read has suggested two pounds as the max weekly loss unless you have close medical supervision. I guess so your doctor can make sure it’s going well and all nutritional needs are being met? I did occasionally lose more than two pounds a week here and there myself, but it wasn’t intentional (I got sick a lot this past winter and tend to be nauseated when ill) and those high weeks were normally preceded or followed by a lower loss week. I’ve intentionally slowed my own loss recently too because I don’t want my training to suffer from over-restriction. I do think there’s merit to the plan of losing at a more moderate pace. Just my take on it, and I’m not a nutritionist or medical professional!1

Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes.

@BonnieHosk85 That is awesome, seriously. Housework makes me want to lie on the floor and cry. Which is unfortunate because I’m a stay-at-home mom who also hates clutter and mess. 🤣 So basically - I’m either miserable from housework or miserable from the mess that happens when I avoid the housework.
Daily check in:
Exercise? Today was a 4 mile run. We also took the kids to the zoo so there was plenty of leisurely meandering there as well.
In calorie budget? Yes!
Tracked? Yes! I pre-planned, logged and packed all my food (thankfully our zoo allows you to pack lunches) and was able to log the treat I chose while we were out.3 -
