A lovely sunset brings me joy.😊.
This is my favorite sunset pic. I absolutely love sunsets. They are always so suprising. You never know it's going to be spectacular until it happens. Then you try in your mind to compare it to ones you've seen and where you were. Then just like that it's gone with only a memory of what it was like.
It was taken from our yard. We live on the river. We just got confrontation yesterday that our offer was accepted for the sale of our house. We have totally renovated an old historic house built in The 1860s. It was a dream of mine and a labor of love. I've always had a love for old Colonial homes. We've been here for 18 years. The time has come that it does not meet our current needs. We are moving closer to family.
Kinda bittersweet... One chapter ending another beginning... Thanks for reading. As tears fill my eyes I find this quiet therapeutic...

Aw, @windowqueen2003, what a beautiful sunset. I know this has to be so hard for you to leave the home you've had for so long. We're looking for another home and I'm so conflicted because this is the home we've lived in for 21 years, raised our boys, etc.10

Exercised? Yes, doing heavy yard work as fast as I can & get as much as I can done before the rain starts back up!

Turns out yesterday was not as bad as I thought. Once MFP caught up with my FitBit, I had earned another 564 calories! Normally I don't count those "earned" calories but it sure helped offset my "going off the rails" yesterday. Guess I shouldn't have taken a Pass Day.12 -
good evening! my daughter brings me joy easy answer I didn't know what love was until I had a child x I like gardening too: a beautiful rose or dahlia can bring me almost to tears. 3xyes again. this group does hold me accountable as advertised - no way I would be exercising I would be thinking the calorie tracking is enough for now - always happy to not push myself. too quick to accept mediocre x bit anxious middle of the night thinking what if I finally lose weight which would mean all this time it was achievable after all - have to watch I don't sabotage myself now. so: 32 mins step aerobics in front of treadmill tv. tracked calories and am 400 under my limit x best wishes to all x11

@ForAmanda222 we believe that you won't succumb to self-sabotage. Leave the past behind and believe in all the mindfulness mantras (be here now /the power of now) etc. You're doing this for yourself now. What's past is past. Let it go.

@ForAmanda222 I went through this, too, and sometimes still the little voice will creep in. When I notice it, I take a Deep Breath & exhale it very slowly as I say to myself “the Past is passed” & I feel those feelings slowly flow out away from me. Then I go do something fun and/or useful!! We can’t change the Past, but we can use it to help us make the Present & Future as Great & Healthy as possible.

@windowqueen2003 Very beautiful sunset image, and bittersweet as you close one chapter to begin anew. You are brave. DH and I have considered moving to a milder location (anywhere other than western NY), but we have 35 years of memories in our home that I just can't seem to get beyond.5 -

I'm becoming more and more aware of how much coffee I drink during a day. Today I went to fix a cup of coffee 4 more times than I actually had but I stopped myself. Did I really want to have to log yet another cup of coffee with creamer?? Heck no!!! So I drank more water instead. It's a tiny start to making lifelong changes. 😊11 -
