Friday after the work day the Memorial Day weekend begins. The actual Memorial Day, remembrance of those armed forces veterans who have fallen in times of war, is next Monday.
Here is a Wikipedia link about Memorial Day https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memorial_Day

So many young lives lost! So much potential wasted. My great uncle was killed in WW1 at Ypres at the age of 24. He was awarded the Victoria Cross posthumously for trying to save some of his wounded comrades from No Man's Land.

Was thinking I might take a pass day today...but did not. As a maintainer, it seems rather mundane to continue to be diligent without ever seeing any change on the scale (and yet I know diligence/perseverqnce is a required element for long term success). Day, after day, after day is the same thing with no change. Sometimes I miss the exhilaration of actually losing a pound or two. Not complaining...the routine just seems a bit lackluster today. Tomorrow will be a new day.7 -
@w8goal4life'
I hear you for sure. Are you getting close to your ideal weight? That's what happened to me so I changed my routine and added weights etc. I am now seeing inches lost and my clothes don't fit but the scale is just hinting of going down. I'm hopefull building muscles might boost the calorie burn4 -
@stella7x7, hope your knee feels better soon!2

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? 60 minutes of strength this morning (all upper body), and a 2 mile walk this evening.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes and under
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yep!
@stella7x7 -- hope you feel better soon!
@w8goal4life -- I totally understand. I lost 60+ lbs on Weight Watchers two years ago and that first year was really hard just maintaining and not having anything to "celebrate." I just tried to find things to get excited about it in other areas, like trying new healthy recipes, working on my running times and distances, and how much more weight I could use in my workouts. Once you find new things to celebrate, it won't feel so mundane!5 -

Gonna be alot of walking but alot of untrackable food. Ill try to log it but im surely going over calorie limits at least one of these weekend days.5
