Saw your comment about the blood thinners. When I had my bypass, I had a couple incidents of A Fib, so they put me on anti-A fib med. That stuff is nasty. After discussions, we opted for the warfarin (probably for the rest of my life). f course my doctor's office is only 1.2 miles down the road, so a monthly INR check is easy.

I got Afib last September. My cardiologist put me on Eliquist and I don’t like the bleeding and bruising but it beats having a stroke.

Guys,
I've done the Warfarin trip when I had A-Fib years ago.('99-2013). Being a ginger, I tend to bruise easily anyway but when on thinners it is far worse. Doc has me on Brilinta so I don't need to take the INR tests. (Of course, now there is a home tester like for diabetes.)0 -
Like several of you I have A-Fib several years back. Mainly caused by obesity and sleep apnea which the sleep apnea is under control. My Cardiologist put me on Xarelto and while I also don't like it and it's expensive as all get out it does beat having a stroke. However all being said I'm still fight the obese thing. Some weeks things are great others not so much.0
