Out of the circle for May -just plain on not reporting here / logging everything for ....... most of a week? ..... Never out on the exercise - more than 3 days over calories, but only by one or two and never by a great deal. I blame linking the fitbit to MFP for part of that .... it giveth exercise credit ... then taketh away again ... haven't quite figured out how they interact completely.7 -
Well done everyone - you're doing so well!
I haven't posted for a few days. Even though I've been trying to keep active, I'm really tired now at 39 weeks pregnant. Yesterday was a few lengths of the swimming pool at the same speed as my 3 year old with her float. Today I at least managed to waddle my old jogging route but it was slow. And I've not been tracking well and giving into ice cream and chocolate temptation the last few days. So I'm in two minds about whether to take an Internet break and re join you in a few weeks or to try harder...
Well done to you all in any case and keep up the great work!9 -

Please take care of yourself first. I admire you for your consistency in this group throughout your pregnancy. As I am, literally, sitting here eating my homemade hot fudge on chocolate ice cream and banana...me thinks I have the same ice cream/chocolate craving you have...but I'm not pregnant!6 -
Was at Trail Fest in Alabama until today, so I will have to play catch-up with my posting.
Last Monday: 153.7
Current weight: 162.0
We did a huge amount of hiking & Jeep riding in ridiculously hot, humid weather. I tried to keep calories contained, usually the extra amount of activity cancelled out the extra calories. However, since it was mostly restaurants or catered meals, I am sure the sodium, etc was very high. Am keeping fingers crossed that this is mostly water weight and I did not pack on over 8 pounds in 5 days!
(used same scales as always, during same time of day, same type of clothing)7 -

just saying hi x I went seriously off the rails for about a week and am just getting back on having tracked today and yesterday. I just thought I would be able to stick to this challenge no problem and now I wonder if I ever will - it's all in the mindset isn't it. I am trying to work out what I can learn from recent derailment 1. I tried to restrict more and more as the days went by. 2 I focused too much on the total calories for the day number. 3. i started eating more and more junk so my body got hungry from poor nutrition 4. and the results I saw were not not quick enough. But there is no where else to go. I've tried every "diet" and I've also tried not dieting. I can't face either of those again. so I.am going to get back to.tracking and exercising but without calorie limits till end of may as paradoxically when I don't restrict I eat less. Even though I am far out of the winners circle I will still be pleased for all who make it and I'll be checking that list out x best wishes all x10

@BMcC9 When I log exercise on MFP I put in a small nominal amount of calories burnt, then use my Fitbit calories as a gauge for extras if I need them. Of course, if the exercise isn't recognised by Fitbit, I put in the actual calories burnt. However, I don't tend to eat back my extra calories, so it's not really a big issue if Fitbit removes some exercise calories.3

@am_change, as @w8goal4life said, take care of yourself! If you're enjoying the accountability and being part of the group right now, by all means, carry on. But if you're mostly doing it because you feel you "should", it might be time to take that break and let your tired body rest. Hope everything continues to go very well with your pregnancy.
@BMcC9, like TerriRichardson112, I don't tend to eat back my exercise calories. I also sync my Fitbit only at the end of the day, so that's when it adds all my exercise cals, rather than adjusting throughout the day. (I can see how this wouldn't work if you really needed to know the number to adjust eating during the day, or if you were constantly surprised by it taking cals away. But I have MFP set reasonably low so that I can get a more accurate measure of real movement with the Fitbit.) I like to have a final baseline of activity compared to other days, but I don't actually fully trust it for an amount of calories I could actually eat. Hope you figure out what works for you!
@hickchic67, based on your description of your activities and calorie consumption, I would say that much of that should indeed be water weight. (If I did the math right, it would be a ~5600 cal/day surplus to actually gain 8 pounds in 5 days, and that seems highly unlikely!)
@ForAmanda222, hope you can figure out what works best for you and is sustainable. I think continuing to come back and work at it is one of the hardest parts, so good for you!9 -

60 minutes kickboxing and four hours of shopping. Under by about twenty calories but I made HORRIBLE food choices today. Tomorrow is a new and busy day. Dust myself off and keep going.
P.S. I bought a top today that is an xs, that is crazy. Mostly I’m on the smaller end of medium and larger end of small. I was a xxl a year ago! Feels good but very weird5 -

Congrats on the xs top @lalabank !
Yes x 3 for me. Exercise was a bare minimum 20 minutes on the stationary bike. Still under the weather.
Will definitely be signing up for June. The scales have “been kind” to me this month but next month I need to take care to slow my pace of loss, so recognizing my efforts at exercise, tracking and staying under goal will be even more important.4 -
3 x very YES, 74 minutes of exercise and a total over 14600 steps lots of exercise calories uneaten even after everything snack logged.6
