Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?

In answer to the discussion question, "What is your favorite exercise?" the number one response was 'walking".
I am a believer in the thesis of a book entitled "Younger Next Year". The bottom line conclusion of the medical doctor internist who co-wrote that book is that if one will walk 4 days per week AND do body weight strength training 2 days per week, one can push back 80% of the decrepitude of aging. I believe it!
The best thing is that almost anyone of us can do that level of exercise. I find that very encouraging.
Do your happy walk as above...

Happy Father's Day to all our dads on the team!
It's a rough day for me as my own father left our home when I was four years old. He had raised three children and after 15 years I was a surprise. Whoopsie!
I think he was the kind of man who should never have married, as he was unfaithful to my mom, and was never a father to the older siblings either, even though he was there physically. When I came along, and then my sister three years later, he just checked out and left my mom for another woman.
He never came around or had anything to do with me while I was growing up. I have no memories of him and only a few photos of the time before he left our home. It's a hole in my life that nothing can fill.
But I am thankful and grateful that my husband is such a wonderful dad to his two boys. That has made this day bearable for me through the years.

What Makes A Dad
God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle’s flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so…
He called it Dad

@BonnieHosk85, sorry the day is rough for you and that your dad wasn't there for you guys in the ways that count. Glad that your husband is a great dad!
I lost my dad to cancer in 2004, so Father's Day is bittersweet for me. Had a nice long phone chat with my mom while she was out at the cemetery this afternoon, though. (I'm too far away to go.) It's nice to remember the good stuff, and I know he'd be happy with where I am now.
Happy Father's Day to all fathers and father-like figures out there!
ETA: That's great news to hear, @RangerRickL! It's always nice to know that things don't usually need to be complicated to bring results, you just need to be consistent and actually make the effort. I'm still working on my upper-body strength, but I think I do pretty well with the lower body and always get plenty of walking.5 -
Yes x 3.2

I also lost my dad, as a kid, it's been 11 years and it hurts less now but he was the best dude I've ever known and was the perfect match for my mom. Nowadays my "father" figure has been my mom's grumpy-but-caring boyfriend but it would weird him out if I told him happy father's day, but with how he's taken care of her and our family after my ex-stepdad being a good-for-nothing, he deserves some recognition. Happy Father's Day y'all6

Pass Day # 2 for me. I did get my exercise in and was doing well on calories even after going out for a Father's Day lunch. Friends stopped in this evening and between crackers & cheese, strawberry rhubarb pie and raspberry cream cake with lemon sauce, I am definitely over on calories today.

Two of my children and their families came to our house to share a Father's Day Dinner with me. I would be a poor father if I had been worried about a Pass Day. No way to track, but what a fun day!

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Active rest day -- took a few walks, resulting in over 11,000 steps for the day. I slightly sprained my ankle during my long run yesterday (I was trying to help a woman chase her loose dog and had to run on some gravel, resulting in a slight sprain), so I took it easy today.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes and under

Happy Father’s Day to all dads here! Hope it was very enjoyable😊🌟
I’m 48 and my dad was murdered when I was 17, so it’s been 31 years. I went to Mass with my husband and 2 boys and it was really nice. I did get teary eyed thinking about him. I know he’d be proud of me and would really like my husband and our boys. I try to think of the great memories we shared, his smile and great laugh. He’d make breakfast for us on the weekends and once he made green pancakes for St Patrick’s Day. He made the best pancakes, we’d always say how golden they were. One of my favorite things to make is pancakes, just Aunt Jemima complete ones or Kodiaks 😋 I just find it relaxing- probably because of his pancakes! 🥞3 -
3 X’s Yes! One hour Yoga. We traveled to see my brother for his first Father’s Day. Enjoyed a good concert and got in a lot of walking and dancing.
