With Chris and I having surgery we thought we would skip this. But now I see that has been a mistake.

So let's keep track of all our movements no matter how small!

Kathy so happy to see that Ron is doing better. And love that team spirit of playing with those gals that whooped your butt. Now that is awesome.

I got in some good calorie burn today. Jogged some with Barney. And danced and did some Body Attack with my Les Mills on demand. Did two short ones for 33 minutes total.

Hi guys! No problem Kathy. There was not a July one. Chris and I decided to be beach bums and laze around for a while. Muahahaha

Chris I sure hope you are still healing up nicely. <3

I am going to either walk the kids tonight or do one of the Les Mills workouts.

Walked yesterday. Handles some chores this morning and it was too hot to walk when we got finished. Tomorrow will be a great morning to walk.

Getting better each day, Shelley. Thank you! Backing off some of the meds they gave me.

    Chris glad to hear.

Yesterday I managed to get in some Body Attack and 15 minutes of yoga. Also a short 8 minutes of ballet. Now that was funny!

This morning I did a 30 minute Body Pump class and will get in a walk later. I am still uing the Les Mills program

Got 2 miles in this morning. It was getting pretty hot by the time we got home. I think 2 miles will be it for a few days. Feet are still swollen and numb in some spots. They said that could take a while to clear up. I think that will help the walking some.

    Swim lesson - 60 minutes.

    Recumbent bike - 30 minutes

I literally jumped in the pool today. My instructor “tricked” me into floating on my back kicking and finning to the deep end of the pool. We were there before I realized it and she was helping me to pull up on a ledge where she then told me we were going to jump in, kick up and float on my back. I stupidly asked how deep is this end and was told 12 feet. I did it the first time with her by my side and holding my hand. :| The second time I did it on my own and made it back to the shallow end of the pool. I’m so proud of myself and screaming inside every time I talk to Ron.

My kicks are better but I still have a long way to go with my strokes but I have the basics and will continue to improve and my fear is gone! But I plan to stick with the pool I respect the waterenough to know I’m not ready for the ocean and may never be but that’s okay! :# One more lesson tomorrow and we will see after that.

Ron’s so ready for Amelia because he hasn’t had a vacation this year! I can’t wait to see his face! I hope to find someone who will videotape the moment.

Chris careful of those numb spots. Injury could occur without your even knowing. You are doing awesome. Are you glad you had the surgery?

Kathy your swim instructor sounds like me. Once she realized you were holding back she became devious. I really wish I could be there to take that video. But I think photos shot in rapid succession would be best. You can hang them on the wall! Oh what a wonderful lesson you had. I had not realized you were still full of trepidation over swimming still. I thought you were just learning new skills and getting more experienced. So awesome you got over that hurtle. Your instructor needs a huge hug. And an award. You may never swim in an ocean but water parks are just a step away. And midnight swims in a pool. Wait, check for gators first! Yikes.

You and Ron are going to have a special time in your vacation.

I got up and an upper body body Pump class. And then a short yoga class. My legs are in pain from my Tuesday workout. So tomorrow is going to be a rest day.

Tried to do this three times on my phone but lost all three!! UGH!

Anyway...Kathy, You should be really proud of yourself! You are doing a great job! So is your trainer. Ron is going to be so surprised!!

No walking today. Pat helped Sara take her car in for maintenance. Tomorrow for sure. It was really hard walking w/Bean. He is not leashed trained and pulls and stops and EGADS!!! pees everywhere! It's hard on Pat.

Go to the Physical Therapist Thursday coming up. Looking forward to it.

Chris I had thought Bean was leash trained. It is not much fun when they pull you all over. I have been working with Barney alot. He is much better but not where I need him to be yet. Good luck with Bean.

Kathy I hope your final class was a total success. Such an achievement.

Kathy mornings are made to enjoy in the summer. They are rejuvenating. Then it gets to not to be outside quickly. I have the same plan as you. Looks like my post for yesterday did not get posted. :'(

Kathy I did buy a new Rose of Sharon.

Shelley, we wish Bean was leashed trained. A couple of years ago, I would take him out and tell him, "No stopping." He learned to trot to the end of the leash...sniff or potty...when I caught up with him, he would trot ahead to the end of the leash...etc. Of course, that hasn't happened for a long while.

We walked this morning for just under an hour. I did end up with 10,000 steps today! Haven't gotten that in a long while. Tomorrow we will be getting up early and walking because we have to p/u R&B at 7:30. DDD goes back to school with her new VP duties. Sure seems like a short summer break...

Chris summer has been short this year. Didn't seem to ever want to get here. Now that you are walking more you can work on Beans leash training again. I have been lucky in that all mine have taken to the leash easy enough. Or maybe it is just they go with us regularly. You used to get him all the time.

How is your pain level now? Congratulations on getting in your steps. I got mine in also. Not sure how I will do it during trials. I just sit to much. I will just have to see. Do you log on your fitbit and here for food eaten?

Went walking this morning with the boys before it got to hot.

Kathy swimming has to count towards those steps. I remember when Chris did the recumbent bike all the time. Almost time for your vacation. And the biggest surprise ever.

Got in my steps and even around 30 minutes of slow jogging. Night all

    7/17 - 5.03 miles 10,870 steps...7/18 - 4.75 miles10,034 steps. Just made it yesterday. No walking today. Rest Day.

Shelley...I used to log all my food here. Then I got lazy. Yes, I log onto the Fitbit Dashboard. It has changed up from when I was really serious about everything. I'll get back to it and start posting everything as soon as the doc releases me from this...no bending, twisting, lifting prison I'm in right now. I think once I'm off all the meds, I'll be happier and more ready to play. Almost there.

2.2 miles this morning then we got the boys while Sara & Pete went to a CPR class. Pat and Ronan played. Ronan is getting so much better w/his words. Some are still hard to understand but we are getting there. We'll get Ronan tomorrow for a bit. S&P's cat lost a tooth in the middle of the floor and Bean needs some shots. It's easier if we have Ronan during a vet visit. I need a few more steps to hit 10,000. Don't know if I'll make it.

More steps means an extra snack! I need to get moving more now. Bean has a kitty friend. Call it an angle tooth now!

We gave the grandkids playground to the new neighbors. Their son is 7. Ours kids are mostly grown now. I think he will get more use out of it. Rocky took the fence down so they could move it easier. The top still has to be put on it but the rest is done.

Kathy how many more days until the big surprise?

Walked 2.6 miles this morning. I had a fun weekend with my 5 year old great niece Lyric. We topped it off with the Lion King and shopping. Boy did she wear me out!

Shelley, nine more days until the big surprise. We are both anticipating a great vacation in Amelia. It will be Ron’s first trip this year other than work trips.

Kathy those 9 days will pass quickly. Ok maybe not! That huge secret makes it go slower. But so much the better. I am planning on going to the Lion King. I hope you two enjoyed it. I heard it was fun. Good thing I know some children to take. ;);) Ron will have the best vacation ever.
