Some days I just try to find something amusing. Here is a vintage exercise machine that simulates riding side saddle.

YEs x 3 for yesterday to comment on yesterday I have great willpower in the morning and day thus I keep my food intake low and then when I know I am going to want to eat everything in sight I can which is in between 5 and 7.
Today at work I am learning a new piece of equipment. So I got up at 4 to walk 3 miles as I have to be at work at 7. I am so excited but I know a lot of my coworkers are going to be ticked that I got picked to learn it before them. They were calling dibs and I didn't care. LOL
Have a great day everyone!9 -

Exercised?: Yes - 1 hour walk/30 min cardio workout (with weights)/60min elliptical trainer
Calories?: Yes - 1228/1200 - (still 887 left from exercise - would have been under but had an apple for a late night snack, lol).
Tracked?: Yes
100 pushup challenge - week 2 day 1 complete.
Will post today's later this evening UK time.
NSV - 2 for me so far - one, I can do 7 pushups in a row (after one week) - most will probably have a giggle at this one, especially the guys, - but my upper strength is pitiful and since I could barely do two - this is quite the accomplishment for me! Flags will be flying if I ever make 10!!!
The other is my new diet and exercise regime is already showing results - 3lb weight loss in two weeks.
This again might not seem like a great step forward, but I have hypothyroidism, having been diagnosed earlier this year. My weight plummeted from a healthy 9 stone 6 to 11 stone 5 in just a few months and I was given a strict diet and exercise regime just a few weeks ago.
Along with this new regime and this new group I've found here, I feel like I'm finally getting the upper hand on this and finding a routine that I can adhere to - this is proving more difficult due to other commitments in life, but at least I now feel I have the tools to find a balance that works and no longer flying blind so to speak.
Tracking calories is not an exact science, I know, but after two weeks, and positive results, it obviously works along with a steady pace of exercise.
1200Kcal a day is not a lot of calories, and I didn't come to that arbitrary number myself, but by my doctor whom has me on a protein rich diet, which is actually helping considerably with my other illness, Crohn's disease and I find I'm not overly hungry from lack of calorie intake either, which is what I feared the most - as I feel this would lead to binge eating.
The tiredness is proving more of a struggle to overcome (due to my condition) and some days I feel like I can't push myself - it feels like a constant battle with my own mind - it's like my body is willing my brain isn't, lol and some days it wins!.
It would certainly be nice to just wake up in the morning and not have this constant wave of fatigue, but hopefully this will improve in time.
In the meantime, I will try to keep to the new regime and the accountability of the UAC will keep me honest in tracking of calorie intake and exercise.
I'm sorry for such a long post, I don't expect everyone to read it, lol, and I hope I haven't offended anyone for posting my thoughts so publicly...15 -

I find as I read everyone's posts each night that you are all so inspiring!!! If it wasn't for UAC I don't think I would be as determined to get my 3 yesses each day. Had to navigate food choices today at our staff retreat. Ate fruit for breakfast instead of the fatty muffins. However, at lunch I did sample the appetizers that were purchased for us. However, the entree wasn't good so instead of forcing myself to eat it, I stopped after a few bites. Only afternoon snack available were cookies, but I split one with a colleague. After tracking I know the best decision is to make my own meals. However, I don't want to get too obsessed with calories that I forget to enjoy food. That's why I had the cookie, it looked good and I wanted to try it.6 -

Weight lost in August: ?? Was 1.4 but this morning the scale was up almost 1.5 compared to yesterday morning. We'll see tomorrow if it was weight gain or just some combo of a late dinner stomach contents or hormones or something6
