@w8goal4life Our spring and June weather was so rainy and ground surface so saturated that the first time that I rode a horse was the July 4th weekend. I'm trying to enjoy each and every moment of good weather that we get.
@Miyoka_Tata Was it your birthday or someone else's birthday. If it was yours, we need to send you birthday greeetings!

It was a beautiful weekend here.
Today, we had two of our 4 grand children here at the farm. As the outdoor kid-helper, I had lots of activity.
Tracking: good
Calories: just a bit under my limit.6 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Ran my 10 mile race this morning and I CRUSHED it! I had a goal of finishing in 2:10:00 and I crossed the finish line at 1:59:19! Yaaaayyy!!!! I am very proud of myself! Ending the day with almost 30K steps.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes and way under -- I ate plenty, but couldn't eat all my calories.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yep!
@Hardwick1 Congrats on your marathon!
@Dory_42 Great job on your running!
@RangerRickL We're actually experiencing some rather cool weather in Northern California, which is awesome. Normally we're in the high 80s/low 90s now and it will still be warm until about Halloween. We don't get really cool until end of October/beginning of November. I personally can't wait for some cooler weather -- summers here are in the high 90s/low 100s, so it's time for a break!14 -

I am seeing some yellow leaves here and there.
If I tell you my exercise stories you are going to think me kind of weird.
I climb. I am a little bit obsessive about it. I been wearing gps watches for the last few years to track my climb stats. Lately I got a new gps watch because my old one wasn't staying charged long enough to measure my effort.
So I got a new one. It was a couple hundred bucks. Ugh. That'd be alright except it is telling me that my climbs are not what I thought they were.
So today I wore both my new and my old watches. Had a contest between them. That counts as weird. I went for my standard climb which I always thought was 2000 feet. New watch says it is only 1867 feet. Old watch says it 2044 feet. But hey I will put a picture on here just to be scientific.
See what it is doing? I do the exact same geographical point to point on my hill repeats. It should show the exact same elevations and give me credit like my old watch does.
But yeah so what. This ain't Wimbledon so we ain't talking money or fame here.
But I am going with the stats from my old watch.
More fun to talk about is my little buddy. That little guy is getting big so I have to exercise.
Get him in and out of the tub safely. That is a slippery operation. I don't want either him or I to get hurt. Little rascal is upwards of 75 pounds now. That don't sound like much to a body builder. But...
His favorite thing in life is taking a bath. I try to manipulate him with that. I want him to use the toilet like us civilized guys.
But figure how to get a kid to do that who doesn't walk nor talk. Well, he can kind of walk if I stand him up and give him some balance input. But he don't talk.
So I want him to signal me when he has a need. I tell him that all the time.
He does. He give me a loud plaintive sigh that I can hear even in another room.
Then I ask him if he needs potty time. Language goes a little bit cro magnon but the expression becomes unambiguous.
He hates the institutional approach to potty time. Every other hour sit for fifteen minutes. To a little boy that is an eternity.
But me and Buddy, we are a little bit telepathic.
Bath time is the reward.
I let him play in the tub to his hearts content. Get him out. Haul him off to dry.
He laughs and laughs and laughs. His way of expressing his happiness of having been successful in the bathroom and expressing gratitude or joy of having been allowed to play in the tub to his satisfaction.
My funny little boy. My little water bug.5 -
Pass Day #3. Over in my calories, although not drastically. We arrived at our “resort” yesterday and our room was so cold that I felt like I needed those extra calories. I slept with all my clothes on including a hoodie and socks and still felt cold. The problem has been resolved now so hopefully I’m on track from here on out.6

@BuddysSurrogateGrandpa1 I feel like hugging you after reading your post. You came across in earlier posts like a good man but that last post seals the deal. I hope the two of you continue finding joy.4
