Appointment with dietitian, exercise specialist and surgeon

I have an appointment to take further steps to Bariatric Surgery in a few days. I have attended the seminar, completed forms,
and bloodwork. I have been a member of My Fitness Pal and Fitbit since 2016, though this is the first time I have joined a group.
I have not had refined sugars since six weeks ago (surprises myself to have stayed away from 2 1/2 cups of ice cream per night or “Crumbl” cookies).
My main motivator is the pain from inflammation of osteoarthritis in my neck and back, as well as Type 2 diabetes and difficulty with balance and being out of breath easily. Fortunately, I have lost ~12 pounds in the last two months.
I am going to stay with our effort and success in losing this weight with our mutual support from each other.
It’s amazing how motivating it is these days to learn and motivate each other online.
I am so thankful we have this group.

Welcome and congratulations on your new adventure! I started eating semi-bariatric style on May 1 and had VSG in mid June. I'm down 76 lbs now and as of yesterday my doc is expecting another 75 off over the next 3 months.

This is a very exciting and serious way to lose weight and get healthy. I send you my very BEST wishes for success and smooth sailing as you get ready for this incredible life change.

Let me know how I can help you. I'm happy to support you.

    Trish
