Hello again and also welcome to anyone looking at this and wondering if this is for you, just give it a try!

Feel very welcome to join, we usually post our weigh Sundays and use the 'Keto Monthly Challenge Spreadsheet' also in 'Announcements' to track weight.
We use this thread to encourage each other and to add our weight as well if we want to and generally chat!
It's fun and it's been working and we've lost a shed load of weight between us. It seems to keep us going and even if we go up occasionally (and who doesn't!) we get back to it and continue the journey.

Going on vacation October 29 and I'm definitely planning to eat when I get there- maybe even on the plane! I'm NOT going to eat with wild abandon, but I'm going to eat bread and drink martinis and have dessert.

October has got to be a good month for me. I just sneaked into the 170s in September. I would love to crash the 160s this month. I know breaking into the 160s is doable because I was there from March to September in 2018. I let injuries and excuses cloud my good judgement and erode my discipline. I did not adhere to keto as I should for almost a year and I gained back 30 pounds. In addition, many of the non-scale victories (NSVs) I gained while following keto more rigorously vanished.
I’m not trolling for sympathy or complaining. I’m just stating a fact. I want keto to be a way of existing (WOE) for me. Today, I’m treating keto like a diet because I’ve got a goal to reach. However, I don’t want to use keto just as a weight loss program. I love the way I feel on keto and I want keto to be my WOE. I want to play softball, bowl and mow my lawn anytime I want. I don’t want to be restricted from physical activity because it takes me too long to recover or I don’t have the stamina to do it.
When I do keto right, I don’t just lose pounds, I gain NSVs. Those NSVs make me happier, healthier and able to fight off the loss of abilities my age keeps trying to rob from me. I will be 70 next January. I want keto to become my WOE. A keto WOE that guides my weight to a stable healthy place and gives me NSVs allowing me the ability and desire to do the same things in my 70s as I enjoyed in my younger days.

Lost 80 lbs 15 years ago and creeping back up. Have gained 40 lbs back so far. Not going up there again!! Started keto again this week and already feel amazing! I don't know why I fell off the wagon. Keto makes me feel so good!

Small lose this week, only 0.8 pounds. Inching my way to the 160s by the end of this month. I’ll have to pick up the pace to get there. I’ve been trying to treat keto as a Way of Existing (WOE) instead of a diet plan. For me that means eating intuitively instead of logging everything I eat.
I’ve been eating keto-ish for approaching 22 months now, I know how to eat to gain and maintain ketosis. In fact, I’m quite comfortable on a 18 hr. fast with a 6 hr. eating window for my keto WOE. My problem is I’m a little cheater! I tend to slip non-keto things in my eating that sabotages my ketosis. So, I’m using this forum to put myself on notice. I want to be able to report back next week that I have adhered to a keto-clean WOE without logging everything I eat.
So, the only thing I will log this next week are my Keto-Cheats. My goal is zero cheats!

Hey, guys. My SEPTEMBER goal was to be at 254.5 as that would represent 50 lbs lost using Keto. Sad to say, but I didn't make my goal. Two weeks of vacation and three family birthday celebrations (one of them being mine!) derailed my plans. But HALLELUJAH HALLELUJAH, my first weigh in for October saw me at 254.4 !!!! Oh, if you guys could have seen the happy dance that occurred at that moment! Anyway....I'm hoping to keep this train on the tracks for the month of October. Good luck to all of you!
October Goal: 249.9 (I lose weight VERY slowly, so this might not be realistic, but to finally be below 250 would be so sublime. But I'll keep plodding along until I see it, even if it doesn't happen in October.)
