    Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Did I ever...it was a grueling day of outside work, digging up dahlia and canna lily bulbs and splitting & piling wood. DH & I are both exhausted. Going to bed so we can do a day trip tomorrow around the Finger Lakes area to check out fall foliage.

    @goldthistime Thanks! It was pretty easy-- you just cut out the backbone and then push it flat til you hear a crack, then 45-60 min at 450-500 deg F on a baking sheet pan with a rack on it (legs facing the back). Video and details at Serious Eats website. It apparently helps it cook faster and more evenly than keeping it whole. Plus it's easy to break down at the end. Turned out delicious! Having leftovers tonight. :)
