Can you believe that I just typed November? Where does a year go? Well here's my stats for this week, and I'm not too happy.
LW: 143.6
TW: 144.0
I really expected better because I did more than 10,000 steps on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, and I even got 7565 yesterday in spite of the ballgame. (How about those Nats?
)
But regardless, I am ending the month about 2 pounds heavier than I started it, and I can't let that stand. For the past few days, I've been making an effort to eat 3 meals a day instead of eating 2 meals and then snacking. Obviously, it is going to take more than that. So I'll be back later with my game plan for the week. Now, I have to use my lunch break to go to the CVS to see if I can get a flu shot. They say flu is going to be very bad this year. In one of hubby's sites, almost everyone is sick there now.
Looking forward to hearing from everyone. "Sprout" assured me she will be back soon.

Hit the wrong button and lost my post. Ugh. Here we do ads in
I’m with you. Tough month. This week especially. Migraine yesterday sent me home and to bed with two of my zomig to feel better today. While out in the field setting up a new model sales office my tummy started rolling. Oh Lordy. And the weather had started to change. 60-70 versus our 90s. Time to bring out pants and some light sweaters over my sleeveless tops. Mornings and evenings are nippy but the office is still so warm. Wish I could trust my tummy for some trail time. and skipping TM time this week. Heading to Rhea tomorrow night for trick or treating.
The downside to the cooler weather is I’ve gained belly circumference and many of my sleeved tops are not very appealing. It did help me to meal prep this week and so far I’m on track.
Sheesh hoping you’re having a grand time!!
sprout we miss ya!!0 -
Sarah - Congrats on your Nats. And no, I wasn't drunk when I wrote the previous post. I messed up my original post and redid it...apparently I didn't read it very well. Oh Lordy I'm a mess. Ok...have a Happy Halloween!!!0

CONGRATULATIONS NATS!! Sarah, I’m sure you, hubby, and all of the D.C. area fans are just over the moon!
We’ve been able to watch most of the games from Cali, and now Oregon, and I’m so glad. The Nats played from behind and with injuries and winning every game in Houston. . They are awesome and should be very proud of this championship.
Lois, glad your Cali trip went well, and that you’re in your new office at last.
Also, Happy Halloween ladies! I love being with my grandkids for Halloween.I haven’t weighed at all, and I’m still catching up with reading your posts, but I wanted to check in today from Portland. Our son and DIL have been fortunate to be in a smoke free, fire free area of Cali. They did keep the kiddos indoors at school to avoid particulates in the air.
I’ll check back later to read all posts. Have a great day.0 -
Survived Halloween. Headed to see Rhea early and traffic was insane. She was too cute as Aboo from Aladdin and daddy was aladdin. Mommy was not successful in finding a Jasmine costume so she didn't dress up. Anyway, Rhea lasted in her costume about 10 minutes and was freaking adorable I was trying to get the kids to take her out trick or treating, just to see her walk and move around. She got warm in the costume in the house so we took it off. She was curious about the other kids that came to the door trick or treating... It was a fun night...she's doing so many new things - its exciting to be around her. Ate too much candy at the office..didn't help my tummy issues at all.0

We had interesting an Halloween evening. It was unseasonably warm here yesterday--up in the 70s. The kiddos started coming around 6:30 and between that time and about 8:15, we had about 65 little goblins. But the winds were starting and by 9 p.m. it was raining so hard the street was literally a river. We were under tornado watches until midnight. Our neighbors up the street still have the smaller gutters that they put on these houses when they were built in the early 70's, and the wind blew everyone's gutters full of leaves. These neighbors also still have the original windows, I think. So they ended up with water coming in on the front side of their house. Then around 11, we noticed that the street lights were out, and the houses across the street were totally dark. Fortunately, we are on different transformers and we kept power.
I didn't get many steps yesterday, so I tried to watch my intake and had less than 200 calories in chocolate last night, which is a triumph because we had a lot of it around. But I still went in the red 170 calories--about the amount of chocolate I ate.Hubby is going to PA at the first of the week to visit a cousin and I'm sending all the remaining candy with him.
We are up in the air now about the World Series parade on Saturday. It is the flooded neighbors we were planning to go with, and they may have other matters to attend to. I'd like to go if the weather is nice, and that should involve a lot of steps and a lot of standing.
Lois, my weight is up and not budging. I know I'm not walking as much, so I need to get back on track. I also wonder if the stress I've been under at work has affected me more than I realize. I think it's more l likely that getting 5-6 hours sleep a night is taking a toll on my metabolism. While hubby is in PA, I hope to get to the mall, even though seeing all the closed stores makes me very sad. Redevelopment is coming in a big way because that is such as valuable piece of land. I just hope that whatever comes there includes some safe indoor walking spaces.
Glad you had a good time with Rhea. And I hope work settles down for you soon. Now that baseball season is ending, I am going to start setting activity goals and logging them here to keep me motivated. Those few weeks I committed to at least 8000 steps a day and checked in here regularly were the best weeks I've had in a while. Got me down below 142 for the first time in ages--but I didn't stay there very long, and now I'm at my highest in ages again.0
