Older woman who works in sedentary job. Started tracking calories and exercise about a month ago on my own. I am visiting family at a planned community for another week, and I have been doing water aerobics 6 out of 7 days. I return home in a few days, and will be working with this community to maintain the good habits I am re-learning. At least 1 size in clothing lost. My goal for the year will be 40 pounds lost, and to clear of my treadmill immediately and get it in use upon my return. Too cold and dark in my home region to go out alone. I appreciate this challenge! Yea! Thank you. See you in the check-ins and posts!3

Rejoining this challenge after several months away. Have slipped up with eating healthily and have gained back some weight and some bad habits. Looking to get and stay back on track with this accountability. I am a 39 year old stay at home mom to four kids. I exercise in the mornings before they wake up (usually). I use the Beachbody on demand workouts too. I read a few other people saying that. So far I like Piyo and the 21-day fix. Thanks for keeping this group going. Looking forward to be part of it again.5

Yea, @tuddy315! Glad you're here! Welcome to all the new folks! You're going to love this group!4

New to this group and grateful to have accountability and support from others!5

Hi I'm new to this group. I'm in and I'm excited to be here. Just what I need for accountability. My journey started in 2016 after I started seeing a nutritionist. I lost 74 in one year and 82 total. I've done well maintaining until this summer when I started neglecting myself because work was so stressful. Recently I remembered that I need to take care of me and be in control of myself. No more excuses!
I'm trying to get back on track before Christmas so this is a great thread. I've slacked on working out but slowly working it back in this month. Also, I've been trying to get back to my daily logging of every single bite.
I actually weighed in this am though I dreaded it. Pretty close to my no go zone.3 -
@RangerRickL
I inherited this challenge when it was abandoned over 3 years ago. I need accountability with other team members. I'm a 69 year old still working Chicago area attorney. My wife and I live on a farm. All our children grew up and sometimes the grand kids come and visit. I love horses and children.
If you are new to this team. Welcome!
If you are an ongoing member, I appreciate each of you more than you will ever know. Thanks for sharing a part of your life with me and with each other.
Love, Rick5 -
@fiddicat To figure us out, first, read the FAQs. Then each day, report in under the Daily Discussion for that date. Don't start a new discussion, just post within the thread for each day. Whenever you have a question, just put the question into your daily post. I promise you that one or more of the wonderful team members will help you!

I’d like to join if you have room for one more.....looking for a little additional motivation to complete another challenge I’m in ending December 1. I need a strong November and this challenge looks to be a good fit. I am trying to break the cycle taking it off tied to a New Years resolution only to put it back on in time for the next new year. I started early this time and am currently about 7 weeks in. I have lost just under 30 through keto coupled with IF which has been working really well so far. My goal is to get to under 200 by my 55th b-day in February. I have 27 to go. I’m joining to get more consistent in my exercise. I have been doing well staying under my calorie limits. Thanks @RangerRickL for heading this up and let’s all have a great month!5

Hi!👋 I'm Kristle and I am 26 years old. I am currently living in Arkansas but east Tennessee will always be home to me.I have never done this challenge before but I am really looking forward to it! I have been off and on mfp for quite a few years and I am hoping this challenge will be the kick I need! Before I gained all this weight I used to run/jog and I would love to get back into that.4

Hi everyone!
My name is Betsy and I live in Oman, a tiny country in the arab Gulf. I love it here but it's HOT! Winter is slowly coming, but it's still close to 100 every day. I've got two lovely boys and a husband to smooch all the time. Life is good and beautiful.
I've lost about 60 pounds so far, and have another 7 to go. These last 10-15 have been kicking me for awhile now. I want to not just feel good, but fantastic!
Feel free to add me, I love the accountability and support!7 -
Hello!
I'm Melissa, I'm 52, and I live in CA. I'm excited to find this group because I keep trying and failing on my own, and I hope that being part of a group to encourage me and that I can encourage will help. I need to lose about 50 lbs.
I'm rolling up my sleeves, and I'm ready to start!7 -
Hello. I’m Cathy, from Canada.
Have been logging the past few days to get back in the habit.
My goal is to lose 15 lbs by the end of this year.5 -
I'm new here. I'm a 56-year-old woman living in Texas. I've struggled up and down 20 or so pounds for the last 20 years. Right now I'm in the middle of that range after losing 10 pounds last year. I've been eating well for a week now, and am motivated to start. At this point in my life I'm not trying to get very thin, just trying to get to a weight that I know is (or at least was) good for me and realistic. I only want to lose about 10 more pounds, that would put me into a size 8 jeans (wearing size 10 now.)
For November, my goal will be a 4 pound loss. I'm going to aim for 1100 calories a day, but will put 1250 as my maximum.
I usually do a 30 minute morning workout (usually Cathe Friedrichs, Jessica Smith, or The FIRM), and then some days I stop at the mall on my way home from work and walk 30-45 minutes. So I will definitely do at least one of those per day.4 -
Congrats to the October winners! I disappeared early in October, which was completely unplanned. I'm two weeks from a big relocation and work was insane.
I've been in the UAC for about a year and a half, and I'm so grateful for the habits I've learned. In other times of my life I would have used this hectic season as an excuse to relapse into stress eating habits. Even though I didn't check into UAC every day of October, I didn't gain weight and stayed mindful. Big win for me! I know that November will be just as hectic but am really wanting to stay accountable so I'm signing up for the month love what I've learned from this group!5 -

Hi! Maddie here!
November will be my 20th continuous month in UAC!
I began losing weight Jan 2016 at 228.3, and was 176.6 when I joined UAC. A year later, Thanks to UAC & an Apple Watch!!! I declared maintenance @153.
Now, 6 months later, I’ve been as high as 158, but today am at a very happy 155.2. Again thanks to UAC!
Welcome to you all!
I have two tips:
1. Don’t expect perfection right off the bat. These three rules can be deceptively difficult, depending upon where you are in your journey. Give yourself time to get the hang of it!
2. I had 11 or 12 months of Perfect. That next month was Rough. Hang in there. Don’t leave. Keep on Carrying on for that is what is needed to MAINTAIN. We must practice getting back up On the horse.
Big hugs,
Maddie8 -
A brand new month and another start to hold myself accountable remember you are accountable only to yourself best of luck to all this month5

I'm joining again this month
Posting at the end of day keeps me accountable, even on the days when I don't get to log in for various reasons.4 -
I am joining the group for the first time! My name is Vicki, and I am 69 years young. In the last 2 years I have lost 60 pounds and would like to lose 15-20 more to be within my ideal range. On November 1&2 I ate within my calorie budget, logged everything I ate and drank, and exercised for at least 20 minutes. I am ready for the challenge!6
-
@vhschnure629 Welcome, Vicki...you are the same age as our group leader, as well as me! Glad to have you in this challenge. I have been in an ideal weight range since 2011, but have been in this group for nearly two years, now, for continued accountability and to avoid potential pitfalls.4

Hi everyone,
This is my second month in this group. My first month I lost about 7 pounds, I'm at a 9lb loss altogether after starting to seriously exercise and track calories on Sept 22. I moved to a new province mid September and promised myself my lifestyle would change along with my move (SK to BC, no longer need an extra layer for winter 😉). I have two little girls, ages 2 and 4 and I kept a total of 35lbs on after having them, so my ultimate goal is to lose 35-40 lbs but I am going in 10lb increments so the number isn't overwhelming. Good luck to everyone, and once again thanks for having me!6 -
@jem302 I know where you are. I remember when my two little girls were 2 and 5! They are now 38 and 35 and I have just now gotten things under control weight wise. I wish I had done it while they were still small, like you are! I think breaking it down into chunks of 10 pound increments. The more success you achieve, the more motivated you will be!! Good luck!1

I have a big birthday coming up in April: #70! I would like to face the decade in a better body.5
-
Same here @Gus130 ! Except Mine is in June. We’ll get there!!4
-
@Gus130 and @vhschnure629 Me too...70 in July. @RangerRickL will also be 70 in 2020. We will officially be described as septuagenarians. I would say we're doing pretty well given our choices to be diligent with nutrition and exercise.4
-
I'll be welcoming all of you to the 70's!! I'll be 72 in June.2
