This is the 'end goal' of the Ultimate Accountability Challenge (UAC)
The final FAQs:
11. If I exercise a lot, can I 'eat back' my exercise calories?
Your calorie goal and calorie adjustments are entirely up to you.
12. What is the end goal of this challenge?
The end goal of the challenge is to adhere to your diet and exercise plan for a month. By having to come here every day and say, in front of the group, "yes, I was active today, and, yes, I'm aware of what I ate today," you ensure (1) that you will have to focus on what you're putting into your body and the exercise you're feeding it all month long, and (2) that you will have an friendly audience to which you choose to be accountable.4 -

Slower walk today. Tired and not up to usual pace. Just happy to walk though.
Better day today with daughter, gives me and my wife some rest.
One thing that is often overlooked in weight management is sleep. Make time to get enough sleep. Absence of enough good sleep play havoc with your health, your weight and your moods.

Pass Day 3
I logged and came under calories but no exercise. I planned to go to yoga in morning and Jiu Jitsu in evening but my niece was sick and my nephew had his school concert so I stay with niece while mom went to concert. Then I stayed with other niece and nephew while mom took the sickling to doctor. Gran took over when they moved on to hospital with a pneumonia diagnosis.
I got home absolutely exhausted so decided training was a bad idea. Between eating badly yesterday, a busy week and worrying about niece today, I need a quiet evening.8 -
So sorry to hear your niece is ill, @Dory_42. Hope she recovers very quickly.1

St Nicholas!
Exercise: Yes, 45 minute Stretching class, another 50 minutes walking. Since yesterday I'm actually beginning to look forward to these classes and also my swimming pool session, whereas before they were chores I had to do, because they were 'good for me'.
Calories: Yes, stayed under, but only just. Christmas party season seems to require alcohol and I'm too feeble to resist altogether ... Doing well partially though .
Tracking: Yes, logged everything. .7 -

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes! The great thing about this challenge and trying to keep myself accountable became apparent today. I had a hair appointment at an awkward time this morning, and I got there really early because there wasn't time to really do anything after I dropped my husband off at work. So I parked at the salon and took a walk around town before my appointment, because I knew I wouldn't get to take my usual walk at lunch. Normally I'd have just sat and waited and not concerned myself with missing my walk, but I only have two pass days left this month so I made sure I didn't waste one by not getting 20 minutes in. 😄

@craigo3154 I only got 4 hours of sleep last night. I've got a personnel problem with one of the young attorneys. This morning, when I got up, I spent time in a spiritual meditation over the Prayer of Saint Francis. When I finished, I was at peace that I must be kind, supportive and at not be anxious.
Back to my report:
Since last Christmas time, it's become apparent that I now have chronic issues with my lumbar back vertebrae. My usual exercise has been plagued by pain.
I can always walk, and I do. Tomorrow, I have an appointment with an exercise physiologist. I am excited to meet her.

Spent most of the day in the car and tomorrow will spend day in airport Between getting through TSA with medical devices, the seats, and all the sick people that don’t cover their mouth or wash their hands, so excited I don’t have to fly anywhere for 3 months after this trip!!!
I’ve been averaging about 17k steps/day (workouts included in count), but when I looked at it tonight it was only a little over 5k. That was motivating to fit in a workout tonight. Got it up to 12k. Good enough for today, haha.4 -

@RangerRickL. Good that you have the meditation to help calm and refresh the mind (especially when sleep is not cooperating). I need to remember to consciously do things like that more often.
No good that you have lower back pain, that can be hell to deal with. Hopefully the exercise physiologist can help.0
