January is just around the corner. Since the Christmas, Hannukah and other holidays are in our face, we are not yet thinking about January 2020.
But, here is the January 2020 UAC signup link https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/134997-ultimate-accountability-challenge-january-20202 -
look up at the January UAC link above

Exercised?: Yes (5 km in 39 mins - hills)
Calories?: Yes
Tracked?: Yes
FPV drone race in the morning, then walk in the evening before dinner.
Actually broke 2 quads racing today, but I have the parts to fix them and they will be flyable before Christmas. Was competing A Division with the fast racers. Was expecting to come last in the division and be the slowest. Somehow was incorrect on both of these and came 10th in a field of 14. The field included the world rank #2 pilot and the world rank #5 pilot. I am no where near their speed.
I often feel like an impostor in A Division. However, when I compare my best lap and my best 3 consecutive laps with the B Division, I am ahead of all of the B Division field. So my feelings don't match the evidence.
This is the video of my second best heat. My best heat did not record in my goggles. For those of you who don't know, this is what I see as I fly.

Dec 22:
Exercise >20 minutes: Yes. 215 mins easy hike. Didn’t make 10 miles as planned (did 9.4mi) but big plans to do just over 10 on Xmas when it’s a bit warmer!! I’m definitely okay with being under my planned miles-got really cold!! I love hiking those trails, they’re sandy and low impact, so can hike longer, yay!
Within kcal (<1800): Yes. 1521 kcal.
Track everything: Yes.
@craigo3154 congrats!!!🎉 Sorry to hear about damage but good to hear can be repaired, yay!
@RangerRickL thanks for setting up the January UAC. I really like how you organize the group and have a separate thread for each day and a few other discussions, and keep the conversation going with topics on some of the days (like NSV/goals). Thank you!!!!!!8 -
Missed posting the last few days, all 3x’s yes. Averaging 2hr workouts per day with my relaxed winter schedule. Doing great on calories.
I did read @craigo3154 post from yesterday on macro’s. I’m an avid low carb eater and I rarely indulge in processed foods. I find it easy to stick to about 50net carbs per day focusing on fueling a workout or recovery from intense cardio.
Craig’s post is great and really explains things nicely. Cutting out sugar/syrup/honey was my first step to going ultra low carb. I ate less then 20g per day for two years, this was before I had lost enough weight to become as physically active as I am now. As I increase activity I have adjusted my carbs. My plan for maintenance, which I should hit at some point this year is to play with 50-100g carbs.7 -
That made me dizzy @craigo3154! Don't know how you do it!
Thanks for the new group @RangerRickL!
I confessed in the "what's on your mind" thread that I find Jan hard work. Pages and pages of unknown people's posts. But I put my hands up and accept that the group benefits from new members and I myself am inconsistent. All are welcome and it's great when you get to know them but it just gets a bit big and busy for me.
In better news, I'm pleased that today marked winter solstice this year for those of us spinning in the North. @Dory_42 and @craigo3154 I hope you enjoyed your longest day.

I had a good day. Cooked a big holiday meal for lunch/ dinner (3:45pm) and before that walked over an hour with hubby - I think 4 miles. After the kitchen was all cleaned I walked each dog so about 1.75 mile added.
I broke the 130 barrier today with 129.5! I started 25 weeks ago and have lost about 45 pounds. My first goal was 130 by end of the year bc 130 is the top of normal BMI for my height. Trendweight still has me at 132 so I'm hoping by December 31 it catches up and has me at 130. But either way I feel I accomplished my goal.
On to January and losing the last 15lbs!6 -
Exercise? Affirmative. 55 minute walk. 12.5 k steps for day.
Within my calorie goal? Darn tootin'
Tracked everything? Ditto!
Saw the movie "Knives Out" today. Definitely recommend.
Went there to see "Ford v Ferrari" but the projector was broken so we had to go with our 2nd pick. It's funny, during F1 season, I start getting burned out on racing, but a month later and I was so excited about a racing film. Oh well, Dakar Rally starts soon!3 -
I did 31 minutes of spin logged and just stayed under3
-
We had 24 family members at our home for a big holiday dinner. No excuses and no regrets.
Pass Day.
@am_change January is the month of new year's resolutions which is quickly followed by resolution-abandonment. 25% of those who sign up in January never post more than one time. 50% are gone by the 15th. You don't have to wade through the posts for too many days.
Its the same at health clubs too. Big surge in January and 90% of newbies are done by February 1.

Feeling guilty over that 2nd piece of pecan pie...so I went back for another 30 minutes of exercise. Not enough to compensate for the calories today; but I feel better for it. It's probably been 20+ years since I made a pecan pie...so no way I wasn't going to enjoy it. Took it over to a friend's house this evening to share it, and left two more pieces with them. At least there isn't any left for me to self-sabotage another day tomorrow. I predict this is not a month for WC, as we celebrate Christmas with one family on Christmas Eve, with another family on Christmas Day, Jim's birthday on New Year's Eve and I've already used two pass days. That's life...and it's all good!6

I took my 2nd pass day because we had our big family Christmas party here. I really didn't eat that much but did have a couple of mimosas. Too much snack type foods to really track but my weight didn't go up so I guess I did alright.
Back to more normal fare today and also a PT appointment so I should be able to stay on track. Not sure about Christmas Eve and Christmas but I'll try to track Christmas Eve and see how I do. I'm doing the cooking so it's easier to track.
Hope you all enjoyed a nice weekend and are looking forward to Christmas!4 -
