At the start of every year, many of us find ourselves wondering how to keep the New Year's resolutions we've set for ourselves. It's a well-known joke that the gym crowds surge in January, only to thin back out by mid-February. Sometimes, it almost seems like resolutions are just meant to be broken, but if you mentally prepare for change and follow some simple steps you have a very good chance of succeeding. I hope they help!
1. Don't overdo it right away.
2. Begin with what works for you.
3. Make sure your workouts include three key components.
- Cardiovascular endurance, resistance training, and flexibility.
4. Don't forget to take those rest days!
5. Start your workout with a good warm-up and end with a good cool-down.
6. And spend a few minutes stretching.
7. Take it slow and focus on your form.
8. Don't forget to listen to your body.
9. Don't skimp on sleep.
10. Find a friend who keeps you motivated.
11. Finally, set goals to keep you focused.

I am not really big on setting resolutions. But I have fallen off the wagon, so it is time to get back up on it. Now is as good a time as any1

We all fall off from time to time, the key is not to stay off for to long.2
