Exercised?: Yes (8 km in 65 mins - flat)
Calories?: Yes
Tracked?: Yes
Merry Christmas all. Hope all had a great day.
I had Christmas with family. Got out to walk between breakfast and lunch.
Usually this would be be a pass day, but tracking today was not hard and I was still under budget even without the walk. (Did a second 3km walk with daughter, sister and nephew waling the dog after lunch).
Thought I'd share todays family photo from just after Christmas lunch. My wife is back, second from left, I am back right, my daughter is front right. Also includes, my father, mother, sister, nephew and (my nephews dog).
(My daughter had a bad day mentally today and was not herself for at least half of the day. She did an amazing job to kept it from spoiling the day for anyone else, but my wife and I could see the signs.
We have amazing love and support from my extended family, but they cannot really comprehend whats going on in my daughters situation (even though they really try). Consequently we "over-simplify" her situation to them so that they can effectively deal with what happens at the time.)11 -
Today is a pass and I am far from the winnerโs circle this month.
I already got my Christmas Day workout, I took a brisk 3 mile walk this morning to watch the sunrise over the Hudson. It was a beautiful walk in the dark morning with houses decorated and all of the trees lit up in windows. Our village also has a tradition of Christmas Eve luminaries and many of them were still burning this morning along the sidewalks and walkways.
At one point I saw the lights turn on in a house and could hear excited children yelling in joy.
Iโm not a religious person but I enjoy tradition and my walk this morning just felt really special. This might be a new tradition for me.7 -
Tracked today and under my goal plus I got exercise in by swimming with the seals which is our Christmas tradition. Also managed to get round and drop off gifts for my adopted nieces and nephew before family dinner.
Three work days done this week, four to go...
Housemate is back in town but house-sitting till Monday so I still have my space.6 -
Merry Christmas!
Beautiful photo Craig - sorry your daughter has struggled today. Everyone looks very happy in the photo!
We've had a great day here. I was going to come on just to say hi and pass but I was inspired to track and it turns out I have 64 calories spare. It's 6pm here so I can't hand on heart say my kitchen is closed for the day. It probably isn't. But I thought I'd be way over by now! Went for a walk earlier. It was a beautiful winter's day with blue skies - haven't seen one of those in weeks as we've had rain rain rain and flooding. I tend to keep my anonymity on here, and in keeping with that, here's a Christmas day photo of me and my daughter.

Happy Christmas everyone, enjoy every minute!!!4

Merry Christmas Everyone!
Today, my plan is to eat food that I miss and to give my body the signal that I am not in "famine" but I am not going to go crazy. I'll try to eat mindfully, enjoy the company and avoid the sick feeling I got when I got so stuffed. I already earned 500 calories of exercise and may go out for a walk after the big meal. My daily and exercise calories should be enough for me to accomplish my plan for today.
Have a successful day all.8 -

Pass day 4, darn it. No winner's circle for me this month.
I had a great 3-hour Christmas dinner with good company at our favorite Chinese/Japanese restaurant (which also had traditional American Christmas food, like whole cranberry sauce.) Have no idea about the calories, so I put 14,500 for laughs.
@craigo3154 Wonderful photo. You look like you have a great family. It's nice to see your wife and daughter looking happy.
@am_change I love your photo, too. Very clever and moving.5 -

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? No intended exercise...but, again, lots of time on my feet.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Not likely
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? No
Pass Day #4 which takes me out of the Winner's Circle for December. We hosted our younger son and his family at our house for Christmas dinner this afternoon and some cards. Nice to spend time with family and grandchildren. Accountability was not a priority either yesterday or today.
@craigo3154 Very nice family photo. Thank you for sharing.
@RangerRickL I can't imagine hosting 24. My parents always had 20+ for every holiday as I was from a family of seven (5 kids). Once we were all married and had kids, the family multiplied to large numbers for holiday dinners. After my parents passed, however, everyone kind of went their own way with their immediate families. We did have a family reunion this past August with over 30 in attendance. I did not host, though; but rather organized and arranged for it to be held at a public park pavilion.6 -
As it should be. We do in this (UAC) in between times *SO* we can enjoy more time with family.w8goal4life wrote: ยป12/25

Pass Day #2
Exercise? Sho'nuf! 65 minute walk with my honey - we had lovely Christmas weather.
Within my calorie goal? Negative. Big red number, but possibly just within maintenance calories.
Tracked everything? ๐ Including my best guess on the delicious cake.
Happily, the scale gifted me with a new low this morning (126.0 pounds)! Getting closer to goal.3 -
I did my spin 31 minutes I tracked and logged but I own it not a very detailed day ๐๐ ๐ปโ๏ธ4

Back to close my day. Well, it wasn't even close. I ate everything that I missed including some of the "expensive food" that I usually avoid but I ate them in moderation preceded with a lot of filling food ahead of time. I had a little sample of everything but I was selective.
I earned 500 calories of cardio earlier today but after the guests left, I was feeling so good that I decided to go out for more cardio and resistance, earning over a thousand calories in exercise today.
I may eat about a third of my exercise calories IF I get hungry later.
I didn't have to use a pass today.
Yes, it was a x3 day on Christmas Day that I decided to give to myself and to health.
I have 1 pass left.
Tomorrow is another day.
Have a successful day tomorrow all!

Merry Christmas, everyone! And Happy 4th Night of Hanukkah -- we celebrate both in my house.

Taking panned Pass Day #2 for the month today. I ate a lot and honestly didn't want to log any of it. LOL
However, I did get a Festive 5K in this morning before indulging, so hopefully the damage was minimal. Either way, days like this are what Pass Days are for.

@craigo3154 Thanks for posting a family photo and sharing your day.
@am_change I appreciate your photo and your privacy. You are a long time UAC friend.
@lalabank Very moving post. I got to enjoy walking with you through the village and hearing the early morning children.
@w8goal4life You are always a delight.
@TerriRichardson112 You are always a delight too.
@corriepelc On my paternal side, my great grandparents were the Muelhbergs. They were Jewish and German. This year, my oldest daughter fixed a full Hannukah dinner at which both Jewish and Christian friends shared the table. Our Israeli friend read in Hebrew the traditional sharing.
Tonight, we shared a Christmas dinner at our oldest son's home.3 -
@craigo3154 I posted the January UAC on the Challenge Board at https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10776567/ultimate-accountability-challenge-january-2020#latest0

I ate today after not eating for a day and a half because of stress. Unfortunately, I developed horrible low back spasms so took it easy today.2 -

Holding at 5 pass days used since around mid December!!!
Two coffee shop dates with my husband before & after a Family Xmas Brunch.
Since their kitchen sink faced the dining table, I popped up after my meal of 1/2 servings to get some more water & ended up washing all the pans/pots/dishes/silverware/glasses/serving dishes. Loved every minute as I listened & participated while making otherโs lives a little easier. (Found our later that the dish washer was broken, which made me even happier.)
At the coffee shop in AM, I did not leave 1/2 of my scone but I did remind myself that I would never finish ALL of each thing I order away from home again. I left one large bite worth.
This habit will need practice. Iโve set up an Art Supply reward once I actually box half of what I order BEFORE I begin eating.
Iโm very optimistic that I can master non-home eating in the coming months.
I loved all of your posts and photographs!
Love,
Maddie
