Yesterday, I was visiting an art museum here in Arizona which is a state located in the southwest desert area of the United States. There was a temporary exhibition of artwork by Ed Mell, a living artist. This painting vividly captures the stark and dramatic Grand Canyon. I just wanted to share this with you.16 -
Anything worthwhile requires a commitment and perseverance to accomplish the goal.
Your goals are what motivated you to join this team. Take a moment and write down your goals. While you write down the goals, your conscious mind is recommitted to the accomplishment of those goals.9 -
Day 4 done, everything tracked & logged, enjoyed my first run in six months this morning.12

February 4
Exercise: Yes (walk 5km in 38 mins - hills).
Tracked: Yes
Budget: Yes
Busy day. Late walk after dinner.
Daughter first day of term at new school replacement program for the term, then first TAFE (technical and further education) class on "Acting for screen".Also saw a doctor today to try put things in place for my ongoing mental difficulties. Really hard for me as it feels like admitting defeat. However I know that I do need assistance as even with daily walking, daily mental health research with homework, this group and family support; at times I feel I am falling apart (and I shouldn't).
Appointment again tomorrow to put together a MHCP (mental health care plan) so I can get a referral to psychologist.
Was prescribed an SNRI, but will take any until advised by a psychologist (in case they follow a different form of treatment).
@RangerRickL. Good reminder on goals.
MIne for this month:- Stay honest
- Post here daily (unless unable to do so)
- Continue to re-enforce the UAC habits that have served me so well. (tracking, budget, activity)
- Make circle (but not berate myself if I don't)
- Make a daily effort to read others posts (and comment where appropriate)

@craigo3154
One thing I've learned living with anxiety and depression:
Getting help is the opposite of admitting defeat!

Three yeses for me
Last day of leave and I survived the out of the volcano (another scorcher here). Prepped food for work this week and planned my life a bit better. Enjoyed reading and went to Jiu Jitsu class. Was able to do some of the drills that my shoulder used to object to, which is great progress. Then first session of a two year theology course at church. Every second Tuesday is going to be a busy day requiring planning. I dash from training to church so must take good with me, but I go from work to training so need to pack it before I leave in the morning.
My goal this year is to get back on track. For the first two weeks of Feb the mini goals toward that are to reduce treats, focus on physio exercises but go to Jiu Jitsu every class, get back into routine with my Bible reading and start the learn to draw activities I found. Second goal for the year is to learn to draw better.16 -
