About this time of the month, some team members get discouraged and sayββIβve got too many Pass days so I quit!β
If you really want to achieve your goals...keep on moving toward them!

Work day today. Thunderstorm when I wanted to walk so did bodyweight instead.
Early start tomorrow.
@RangerRickL. 100% correct. The purpose of UAC is to continue so the right habits become ingrained. Does not matter how many pass days. All welcome here.

Pass day 3/3.
Today is an infusion day. I usually do a workout before but am in the process of feeding and playing with a 4 year old before I head in. My calories will definitely be under today but I wonβt track or exercise as I will come home and climb under a blanket. My husband, aunt and niece will occupy the 4 year old. Usually the morning after I am pretty much good to go so tomorrow morning we are all headed up north to find snow, sled, ski, build a snowman, and have a snowball fight. My grandson usually comes up in the summer and at Christmas time. And we havenβt had much snow then. He wants to play in the snow so we are on a mission!
Even though Iβm on my 3rd pass day today, there is no reason to quit. I love the accountability and support of this group. I have never been perfect and will always strive to do my best with whatever life is throwing my way. One foot in front of the other, one day at a time.11 -

Exercised? Yes; 43 minutes of combined deliberate walking logged.
Come in under calorie goal? Oh, yes...will explain that in a second.
Log everything? All day, every day.
I hope to get my VR on later this evening, however, we just learned that we have extreme water damage from a water heater that went 3 weeks back. Where it sat did not have a lot of water visible, so we thought we had it contained. We did not connect that to the flooring issues that were the major concern, because the first section started lifting well before the heater went. (Which also tells me that the danged thing could have been leaking longer than before it went out.) So we called the flooring company, because lifetime warranty and 2 year warranty on installation. They sent contracters to come fix whatever was going on.
We did have a bit of mis-installation lift, but the other lift is water damage. My dining room floor is torn up, the sub-floor has mold, portions of it need to be replaced, and my furniture is in the living room, where I normally VR.
I am just sick about this and literally had to make myself eat lunch today.
Ordinarily, this would only stress me out a little bit, but because we had extensive damage from Hurricane Florence in 2018, 3/4 of our sub-floor had to be replaced, and new flooring and a fiasco with the contracted company...It was mid-March of last year before my home was back to normal. It was really bad. So, now, only 11 months after my home was finally put back together? My dining room floor is ruined, my computer desk and dining room table are sitting in the middle of my living room, and it's like going through that last mess all over again.
I'm waiting on a call from the insurance adjuster, and I'm just sick to my stomach over this. Yeah, I'm going to be waaaay under on calories tonight.
Sorry for the rant, but thank you for letting me vent. I suspect there may be passes used in the coming week or so.9 -
YesΓ3.
I usually do 10000 steps daily. I challenged myself to do 20000 steps today and i think my legs aren't happy. It's a pity because I am π9 -

I am so sorry! I cannot imagine and water damage is horrible. Sending positive thoughts that things can be easily repaired and $$ is forthcoming. Very smart to bring out an adjuster - they seem to get more from the insurance companies than making the claim on your own.4 -
I tracked everything and went over my calorie goal again, and even tho I know I'm putting on weight, since MFP tells me I'll lose 4kg in 5wks if I continue eating like I do, I choose to believe MFP!ππ€£
I exercised for an hour, dancing around ny living room with arm weights. Exercise is a double edge edged sword for me. I feel happy I did it but I always eat more cause I think I earned it!π
I've felt like giving up afew times as it hasn't helped me eat less or lose any weight but I don't like backing out of a challenge so I'm still here.
Hope things are going better for some of you.
@juliemouse83 I'm so sorry to hear about your house problems. I hope they get resolved soon.ππ6 -

Iβve calmed down quite a bit. Of course I beat the living crap out of the air π₯ boxing tonight. I needed to hit something and boxing saved my drywall, haha. π
We have a dehumidifier and put it where the moisture was the worst and were able to at least get the furniture back in. It looks like crap, but at least I have full use of my house, as opposed to last time when we had subfloor comeplety gone half a room at a time and covered with plywood so the doggos wouldnβt fall into the crawl space.
I am beyond grateful it wasnβt worse. ππ»ππ»ππ»

Between leading a field trip (had the kids walk 25 min to the location) and 14k steps by tonight, 9mi roundtrip biking, and an hour of jumps in parkour I had a tonn of exercise calories. Only ate half of them and left a good amount as buffer. Feels good!5 -

@Fongyi3
You may be struggling because you selected too aggressive of a loss goal. Try a lower goal, like 1 lb or .5 lb a week. That will give you a higher base calorie amount.
Also, if you are using MFP as designed*, you are supposed to eat the calories to cover any exercise you do.
* As designed:
(1) You entered your basic stats.
(2) You selected an activity level based on your everyday life before intentional exercise. For example, sedentary/very little activity for an ambulatory person would be a desk job and little or no daily living chores. A desk worker who comes home and cares for kids, cleans, does laundry, goes grocery shopping, etc will generally by lightly active or even active.
(3) You selected a weight loss goal that isn't too aggressive.
(4) You enter intentional exercise and eat the calories burned by that exercise. Because often the burns are inflated, many people start by eating half and monitoring weight loss.**
(5) You understand that weight loss is not linear and that the scale is also measuring water weight, undigested food, etc. A weight trend app is a great way to see what is happening over time.
**This is slightly different if using an exercise tracker, which I can explain if you are.
Hope that helps.2 -
β 1. 30 mins calisthenics
β 2. 1008 / 1460 cals eaten + 445 burned = 897 deficit
β 3. Tracked π― %
Some days I just donβt feel like leaving my apartment to go to the gym. Today it was raining all day and when I got home I just wanted to curl up and hunker down. I did sit-ups and stuff for half hour but thatβs it.
A good friend of mine called tonight to tell me he wants to give me his Total Gym XLS with ALL the attachments and heβll even come drop it off this weekend. No More Skipping the gym!!
