No Alarm is my default setting on ALLL weekends, stat holidays, and vacation days!! "Only" four more years to go until retirement .... barring lottery winning or unexpected legacy from little known distant relatives ... even less likely than lottery winning ....6 -

Intermittent rain for 2 days here so still not getting out to walk although no longer tired.
Drone race exhibitions tomorrow and Sunday, but no drones working. Guess I will be showing people how to fix drones as I try to repair mine.

Yes ! Did 20 minutes of active stretching this morning before going to class. Hurts. I'm not flexible At. All. Also walked around a lot between college and my job.

Ugh. Messy social situation. A close friend, who is obese and likes to eat out all the time, asked me to go with her on an errand to a nearby town. I let her know at the start that I'd already had lunch, but would have a cup of coffee with her.
She still pressured me to eat in a restaurant -- she wanted to buy lunch for me because my birthday is in a few days. She also pressured me to eat a dessert I didn't want because of my birthday. I didn't want any of the food, but ate it because I felt pressured. I'm disgusted with myself. I have to learn how to say no.8 -

Thankfully, no alarm clock for me most days. Even Annie waits until she knows we're awake before greeting us in the morning. Now, how good is that? She's one great canine!5 -
Rough week for me. I've been sick since last Friday with all the icky symptoms of a bad head cold ... coughing up a lung, sneezing, watery eyes, etc. I went to the CareNow last night and got put on a steroid pack so hoping that helps but not feeling any better after a full day on them. Headed to bed with my bottle of NyQuil now. I'm out already for the March WC, but that's okay. I'm still here and still logging. Not getting any exercise or steps in, unfortunately.
Oh, and there was that horrific tornado Monday overnight that devastated my city. Germantown in Nashville, North Nashville, Donelson, Hermitage, Mt. Juliet, and Cookeville. 50 miles on the ground, killed 25 people, destroyed at least three schools (thank God it was overnight and not during school), and will take years to restore the areas of devastation. @Hollis100 , don’t beat yourself up over this too much, okay? Use this as a learning experience. You now know that this person doesn’t seem to respect your boundaries. I think many of us have found ourselves in similar positions and while some may hold strong to not eat at someone else’s insistence? I’m fairly certain more have eaten the food for fear of upsetting someone.
I know a lot of women are raised to be people pleasers and not to rock the boat. I was one of them a few years ago, and I found that when I allowed people to breach my boundaries, I felt worse about letting myself down than I would have by potentially upsetting/angering/etcetera the other person.
While you shouldn’t have to explain yourself to ANYONE, perhaps sit your friend down and explain to her that your lifestyle choices, including diet and exercise, are very important to you, and that while you absolutely appreciate her thoughtfulness, in the future you would be happy just spending time with her. You could also tell her that you are in this challenge, and explain that it is also important that you make it to the Winner’s Circle. (I actually said that to someone last month. They tried to coerce me into eating a donut that I KNEW would blow my budget for the day. They respected that and went on about their day.)
So you exceeded your calorie budget today. Please know that one day isn’t going to kill your progress. So maybe you take a pass day today, but it’s about weekly averages, in my experience. Perhaps eat a bit under for the next few days, as long as it doesn’t put you under 1200 calories. If it does, then just chalk it up as a bad day. We all have them.

Today was an active day, even though I got to work a couple hours late (contractors). But, I missed breakfast. 🤷♀️
I walked the facility for 54 minutes this morning, walked indoors with stairs with my work-wife/bestie, @patriciawmartin5 for 36 minutes, moved a bariatric patient in their bed for 15 minutes, and my VR workout (OhShape, Drunken Bar Fight -which really got my heart rate up, lol - and Beat Saber for a total of 46 minutes.
Did I stay under calorie goal? Yes, by around 300. I’ve got a daily allowance of 1,540, and am struggling to eat them all, but as long as I’m eating 1,200 or over, I’m in my sweet spot, because I’m averaging a little over a pound a week. My macros were the closest to spot on than they have been since I came back here in mid January, AND I had enough calories for an ice cream sammie. 😍

@juliemouse83 Yep, that's definitely me, eating a second lunch and a dessert I didn't want, just to keep from disappointing somebody who wanted to do something for my birthday. A better response would be to repeat that I'd already eaten. This person is a very close friend and knows that keeping my weight down is important for my health, but hears what she wants to hear, like a lot of us -- and I'm guessing she wanted somebody to eat with her.
Yes, setting my boundaries is an absolute must.
I don't believe in forcing my body to do without food if I AM hungry, and shouldn't force myself to eat when I'm not.

I was at another birthday party surrounded by my favorite desserts. I knew that a DQ ice cream cake and home made Ghirardelli brownies were going to be on the table so I pretracked early. The fruit tray saved the day. I had a serving of cake but when it came to the brownies, I was full so I had a small corner and called it a day.

DID IT...all three = yes - even had half of a sandwich at a pizza place - had to update the food log...and made it under calorie goal;
For many of you, and others I know...this was a week full of highs and lows. Hoping we can all take time to count our blessings and pray for all in need. BonnieHosk 85 - so sad for your communities. Glad you are ok. Praying you will heal.7 -
