As the world spins crazily along, my wish for you this day is that you find peace and rest this weekend.

Good morning, team!
After a rough start to March, two-week sickness, getting through the illness and death of my father-in-law, tornadoes tearing apart my city, and the world falling apart, I had a major meltdown yesterday.
I stopped on the way home from the grocery store and bought a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts. I fully intended eating them all when I got home, which is slightly ridiculous. I ate two on the way home (logged them for 500 calories) and then wisdom prevailed and I packed the rest of them up for two elderly neighbors.
I guess I figured I deserved it or something. Who knows? In any case, after hardly exercising at all this month, not logging everything I have eaten, and avoiding the scale I popped on it this morning. Only up 1.1 pounds so for that I'm thankful, but I'm back on it this morning.
Today is my birthday and I'm giving this gift to myself ... honesty, faithfulness to myself, and the gift of health. Not sure why I sabotage myself the way I do, but I really hope to stop this pattern from here on out.
Committing to being faithful to this group and its tenets for the rest of the month as well.
Here's a sunrise to signify my new start ...

Exercised: Yes (3+hours cleaning, car, kitchen, stove, fridge, etc...)
Tracked: Yes
Budget: Yes
Busy day. Wife away so no one to disquiet with my stress cleaning (cleaning to try reduce stress).
Been a bad few days, not sleeping well, but this too shall pass.
Experimental drone race tomorrow. Will be interesting to see how it goes. Testing a form of self-limiting on drones (like setting a golf handicap).

Top o' the marnin' to you! Thought I would post this latest iteration of smile-generator, currently hanging beside our front door.
The flock in their santa hats and new year's party hats will be posted later on the "What's On Your Mind?" Thread, along with some info about the craft (inside a spoiler so you can choose whether you want to know or not) and a question about "What non-exercise interests do YOU have? Post related photos if you wish!" (fav book covers, projects-in-process of all types etc)

Happy Birthday! I can relate 100% to your post. The best gift we can give to ourselves is to move past our indulgent days and recommit. Thank you for sharing, I’m in a very similar place and it always encourages me to see some one else putting the brakes on the self destruction and recommitting to the process!!!13 -

14th March
Calories: Yes, stayed under, but had to eat some of my exercise calories as I'm staying in a hotel in Nice (work!) and have to eat in restaurants. Luckily I had the morning off and walked for two hours on the Promenade des Anglais.
Tracking: Yes, logged everything and added some extra calories to my delicious dinner as I wasn't sure what exactly the chef had put into the dishes.
Going back tomorrow, only breakfast in the hotel. I can have a late lunch at home.
Happy Birthday @BonnieHosk85! You made it through some appalling times with only a deficit of two doughnuts! Not bad!9 -

Happy PI day ya'll!
yes x's 3
Gorgeous picture and great choices birthday girl @BonnieHosk85!
Ha-ha! @BMcC9
Below tdee cutting calories...and that's a big deal today...not the best choice for lunch...but choosing to leave it there...it's all good... but going to try to get kids to go for hike in the rain for some more exercise - it's only 4:30 here...so will have to be mindful of evening choices so I don't have to come on here and take a pass day.
Tradition to make a cherry pie in honor of PI day is still to come... Thankfully - no ice cream or whipped cream in the house...so I won't be tempted to partake.
Passes used - 16 -
I was thinking about all of the times I've chosen to eat well...and today - mindlessly ate something while driving... I broke one of my good habit streaks... It's a lifetime of choices...Not the end of the world...but being aware of it...and saying...NO WAY...not going back.... is a step in the right direction. Wishing you all good health and a nice Sunday morning. Around here - all churches will be doing live stream only to try to stop the uptick on number of cases. I think it is wise...but it will stink to not have the opportunity to be in church tomorrow....think I'll plan to make it a special brunch type breakfast for my kids and I so we can do church and spend some time together in a different way.

Never heard / thought of "PI Day" before .... 3.14, right? I am VERY surprised my McCue inlaws of my DH's generation never picked up on that, as they are ALL computer science super-geeks!
I will have to add it to our "internal family calendar" - complete with some (personal-sized) baked variety or other - starting next year.4 -

@BonnieHosk85 🥳 HAPPY BIRTHDAY! It’s my husband’s birthday today, too.
We had plans to go out to dinner with daughter and family, but after my hospital tightened visitor restrictions for the second time in a week, we decided to stay in, and I hit the store for some t-bones, chard and asparagus. I’d never cooked a steak in a cast iron pan before and they turned out great!
As soon as I got home from the store, it was announced that the first presumptive positive case was discovered in my county. 🤦🏼♀️
VR’d for a little over an hour, came in under calories and logged everything. No passes used to date.5 -

I saw an old movie today called WALL-E. It reminded me of what can happen to our body if we eat more than what we burn, live a sedentary life and do not exercise (especially weight bearing exercises), and if get our nutrition comes primarily from processed food. If we do not take care of ourselves and our planet, the future looks bleak for all of us.
Another yes x3 day.
Have a successful day tomorrow all!5 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, exergame game walking early in the day, and just got back from late night walk around the block with DH for some fresh air
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day Yes - started the walk 11 in the red, and ended it with 20 in the GREEN ... and still 40 minutes before midnight ....
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes - thought I was in the green when I budgeted the evening snack - but was "too still" and MFP exercise calories from fitbit reset lower ... (not used to the idea of them being potentially "taken back")
