Well done to all of you still hanging in there. I've fallen by the wayside, three pass days. I'll try and keep posting and get back on track. I'm finding this all a real nightmare though and it's nowhere near finished yet. Posting the rest as spoiler, I need to get rid of it, but I don't want to depress you all. I live in France, my mother in the Netherlands, my kids in UK. Normally I go and see them regularly, but now I cannot. My flight to London for next week has been cancelled. My oldest son's partner has Crohn's disease and very little immunity because of treatment so she has chosen to self isolate with my granddaughter. My son is self employed, and when he doesn't work, he doesn't earn, so he's now living in an Airbnb. I feel dreadful and there's nothing I can do. My Mum is 97, we keep in touch by daily phone call, but she's lonely too, no one can visit her. My partner has Alzheimer's disease and I do what I can to help. Luckily his daily help is still coming, but his therapist has cancelled all appointments. He used to enjoy his daily walks but he's not allowed out of the house for more than ten minutes at a time. He is going stir crazy and calls me ten times a day.14

@Chinkiri
My heart goes out to you. Please, please continue onward with your logging in and visiting the site. It is during times like this we need to stick to our routines as best as we can for our physical and mental health. And, please remember we are all in the same boat with our diets. Logging in the good, the bad, and the ugly gives us something we can control when so much right now is out of our control.There is one other group I regularly visit for support and advice. Other than this one I feel it is one of the best. It is made up of women who are 55+ from around the world. We have members in France and many of us are dealing with the same challenges as you such as brain injuries, older parents, Alzheimer's, not so young injuries, challenges and illnesses, etc. Here is the link: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10787257/women-ages-50-for-march-2020Big virtual hug to you.
There are many contributors and it may feel overwhelming at first. I would suggest just breezing through the last 10 pages of chit chat and then jumping in. In the beginning I had to keep a list of everyone with some little details. We do not discuss politics or religion. Many of the members have been part of the group for the better part of seven or so years. No one is judgmental - it really is a great group of supportive and experienced women. I was fortunate to stumble on to the group. And, like this one has a monthly link.

Hey Chinkiri, sorry to hear about your depression, but for what it's worth you are not alone right now. It is a tough time for everyone, hard not to feel down about it all. And you probably have it worse than a lot of us.
SuziQ is right, posting your thoughts and feelings here can help. And no one will think any the less of you for talking about your problems. Knowing what's troubling our friends is not depressing, it helps folks better understand you. Hang in here with us, it should help, can't hurt!5 -

I didn't track all week and I have been glued to the tv. Therefore, I am disqualified for March. I hope everyone is safe and healthy.9

@KCJen
For your own sanity and mental health - step away from the news.
Please note I had to give myself the same advice. News is limited to two hours per day (one hour in the morning and one in the evening). Since I have implemented this rule and adjusted to it I am no longer searching for every update. My to-do list has shrunk and I am mentally better than I was just a mere 5 days ago.
I am also finding out how creative I can be both with making sure I am getting my steps in and trying out new recipes. Just hitting that every growing to-do list has made me feel mentality lighter as it is something in my control.
Hang in there - keep visiting - we are all in the same boat and there are so many providing really good advice. I am incorporating what feels good to me.8 -

I just want you to know that I am thinking of you and your loved ones. How blessed you are to love so many...and yet...that welcome love, leads to burdens...gladly bearing...but still heavy. Wishing you peace in the chaos...7 -
@Chinkiri I can't say it any better than @dsgoingtodoit I agree with her, you are blessed to have so many beloved family members, even though you can't be with them right now. I wish we could help more. So many are suffering now in different ways, so please know you're not alone. Hopefully, researchers will find some medical advances soon.

@SuziQ113. In recent times, some of the best advice I have seen given.
The media blitzkrieg can wear anyone down.

Like @SuziQ113 I have limited my news time. Most of the broadcasts at just repeats anyhow. I watch the early morning news and the official PMs briefing. My life has become much less stressed
