@nodm I’m glad you are on the mend & thrilled you were able to get tested!
A friend passed this on. Perhaps you’d like to help...
PLEASE SHARE.
If you want to help, an important thing to do right now is share this post. Volunteering for clinical trials is even more critical now that Trump has persuaded the FDA to approve before trials are completed. This University of Minnesota study was the first prophylactic trial to launch in the US and has currently enrolled 600 of a target 3000 volunteers. It is mail-ordered medicine so anyone in US and Canada can participate.
Let's confirm with science, people. Please spread widely.

Hello everyone.
Congratulations to all who have made the Winner's Circle.
Shout out to all who have stuck to it and continue to visit daily regardless of where they are in their journey and remain accountable.
It is official! I am starting week 3 of working remote and self-isolation. I have put on 1.2 pounds over the month of March. I am attributing it to my lack of planning and being able to graze the kitchen throughout the day. The remote situation is a big adjustment for me because I typically bring my breakfast, lunch, and snacks to work. My April plan is to get back in the habit of packing my work meals the night before and keeping all in one spot with in the refrigerator (my lunch bag).- I am grateful to have another healthy day.
- I am grateful for my courtyard. It provides me with a private place in nature where I can enjoy my coffee while contemplating my day.
- I am grateful for the commute time savings. Yesterday I was able to clean my guest bathroom and all of the glass in the pictures upstairs during the time I would have been on the road.
- I am so incredibly grateful for the full 7 hours of sleep I had gotten last night.
Hugs to all and prayers for those in need.9 -

Given the unusual times that will continue going forward at LEAST through April, I would appreciate guidance from Our Intrepid Leader if (starting April 1) I aught to put things like the following "A funny thing happened in Wales ... " in the Daily Thread moving forward, or in the What's On Your Mind Today? with a tag on the Daily thread that there is something new there. I would also love to see others posting similar "feel good items" as morale boosters.
I don't want anyone to mistakenly think that "chirps from BMcC" mean I don't take The Situation seriously. I take it VERY seriously, and all Public Health advisories on voluntary behavior changes - and should my municipality have to move up to more-than-that, I will be ready and willing to do that too.
But I also want to encourage people to practice Resilience mind-sets, and morale-boosting humor (so long as it IS felt by most to BE morale-boosting) is part-and-parcel of that.
============
"A funny thing happened in Wales ... " a roll-the-eyes / wry exasperation "just when they thought the necessary lockdown thing couldn't get worse ... "
Seems the neighboring mountain goat herd has decided (what with the lack of traffic and human-sightings) that from THEIR point of view, the human-herd must have moved on, so it would be OK to expand their grazing range ...
If you google "mountain goats" and "Wales" you should be able to find the clip. I think it was from the local Independent news rep.5 -
Woo hoo to all of you in the winner's circle! Great job!!
@RangerRickL thank you for all your effort coordinating this! My mom's health took a turn for the worse a couple weeks ago and it's been hard to come log in everyday but I appreciate being a part of this group. It helps remind me to be accountable to my health and try not to veer too far off course even during emotional and crazy times. That alone is a huge accomplishment for me and I appreciate this group for helping me with that!!10 -
Hey all, not going to make it into the winners circle this time around. Though I came pretty close! I'm very proud of my hard work this month. Sadly I'm ending it with a killer migraine so I won't be moving/working out at all. Congrats to all who made it!

Suzi, you are doing great, yo! This is nothing like anything any of us have seen in our lifetimes. (Yanno, unless any of us were around and survived that mess in 1918, Spanish flu, if memory serves...)
This is seriously uncharted territory for all of us. Stress is at an all time high, the old normal is gone for most of us and the new normal kind of sucks, and is going to take some time to get used to.
Many, if not all, of us are making changes to our daily routines. Hang in there! 💙💜❤️6 -
Exercise: 43 mins, walking, strength
Calories: Yes
Tracked: Yes

Reasons 2 B cheerful- pleased to be in the Winners Circle

So... I made it to the Winner’s Circle!
Today? 88/20 exercise minutes.
Logged everything.
Came under calorie goal.
And the above is my new normal. Spent over an hour on a conference call with other leaders and our Infection Control Director. Learned a lot. 6 COVID-related cases in-house. One entire floor is set aside for COVID patients, half of Peds is the same, and they are working toward isolation rooms in our ICU.
I have no work-life balance right now. Went in at 7 yesterday, worked through lunch, made it home by 3:15, then it was all text communication until 8pm. I did manage to get the backyard grass cut between texts regarding work, 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
My stress level is through the roof. I’ve already nailed 20 hours this week. I’m salaried. So after forty? I am basically working for free. My team has talked smack about me since their hours were cut from 40 to 30, yet NOBODY wants to accept labor pool hours to make up the time. I’m damned if I do and damned if I don’t, so with everything else on my shoulders? I get to walk through a room of stink-eyes aimed at me. I’d rather have an extra day off with the option of picking up an extra 12 than deal with this, but I’m not like most people, apparently.
Okay, that is all. Thanks for letting me vent.6 -

Even though I'm at 4 pass days and didn't make the circle, I'm proud that I didn't take a pass day today even though I could have!
Also no alcohol which has been harder to have happen regularly with being shut in and working from home and off of a normal schedule.
Looking forward to April UAC!7 -
Thank you all for the kindness yesterday! I really appreciate it.
Today I barely got 500 calories.
Yesterday I tried to eat a DQ Reeces blizzard to supplement calories but I could not even finish 2 bites. It was hyper sweet.
I did manage to walk this morning for twenty minutes. I feel good and have lots of energy in the morning so thats when I'll get my 20-30. No fever. Coughing a little bit more but controlled.
Tracked everything: Yes
Calories: Way below.
No passes left.
Have a successful day tomorrow all!

I'm so grateful to have found a home and have it almost completely done. So grateful to have a home to stay in while we self isolate
Grateful to have a husband that I want to wake up to.every morning. He still brings me coffee in bed as I try to face the day after 31 years.😉
Last year was crazy with the sale of our house and finding a house before winter.....then breaking my wrist and losing my little sweet Lizzie girl (chihuahua) that same week in December. Thankful to have had such a faithful companion. Thankful to be healing and able to work hard to get things done.
Thankful for the gift of life and each day of life. Thankful to our loving Creator.6 -
