Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?

Alway read the label first!
I know that, but I don't always do that.
Yesterday, I started eating a store bought chocolate chip cookie. I got half way through when I decided to read the label. Wow! My mental estimate of the cookie being 200 calories was only half-right. The label stated that there were 110 calories per serving. It was not until I held the label in the light that I saw that in 'very tiny print', that cookie was deceptively understating its calories. It was supposedly 4 servings. I stopped with one half, but was embarrassed by not reading the label first.

@RangerRickL Blimey, that was a big cookie! 4 servings in a cookie! Are you supposed to quarter the cookie and share with friends?
Happy Birthday @epangili! Have a wonderful day in spite of the restrictions!10 -
Thank you @Chinkiri , I sure will!!!
Planned birthday pass today.
So true Ranger Rick, labels make me stop ingesting too. For example, one of my many favorite desserts is ambrosia salad but this particular recipe used cool whip. When I found out cool whip is made mostly of high fructose corn syrup, it was quickly banished from my diet. I only eat my mom's ambrosia salad since she doesn't use cool whip.12 -

Advice please from anyone with a fitbit (mine is a One, but the model shouldn't make a difference)
Only starting yesterday and again today, it won't sync/update with the fitbit app on my tablet (and in consequence, won't pass on calorie-burn update to mfp)
Yes the tablet has been turned off and on
Yes the fitbit power level is good (was never below Med, but recharged anyway)

Yes x 3. Ate under, logged all (even the chips that were so very good) and knocked out an hour of table tennis with my sister, virtually. Trying to enjoy my last day of quarantine. The weather has been beautiful all week!Whike I was super excited to get out of the house and get back to work, news from the front line came via my bestie in the OR and my boss.
We jumped from 32-47 cases in twenty-four hours. We had our first death today, and I think it was one of the patients who had been in ICU for the past couple of weeks.
That would hurt me. I won’t know until I go back tomorrow. Every day, I’d walk past her room and say a little prayer and mentally pull for her to get better. Several days running she didn’t move an inch, then one day early last week, there she was, sitting up in bed futzing with the tv remote. “Atta girl,” I thought as I walked by.
We now have to wear masks to even enter the building. I only have the one fabric one my duaghter made me, so that will have to do, until I get to my unit. 🤷♀️ Or they can turn me away at the door. I’m okay with that, too.
The coordination and communication is frighteningly lacking, considering the gravity of the situation. I can’t go into details, but just ramped up my anxiety that much more. I, of course, am going in tomorrow and possibly a half day on Saturday to get everything caught up. I have to. It’s my job. It may not be exactly what I signed up for (admin supervisor for facilities and zero pt contact), but I’m committed now, or perhaps SHOULD be committed. To a facility. Preferably with qualified therapists.
I thank my higher power of choice that I figured out early on (after completing nursing core courses) that nursing wasn’t going to be for me. Bodily fluids of the mucousy kind, specifically, do me in, as does the smell of poo. Sorry if TMI. 🤣
Y’all keep up the outstanding work this month, stay safe and be well!12 -

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes - an hour in my "happy place" Wii Rhythm Island - where it is alway Spring / Early summer with blossoming Cherry Trees, fields of tulips, people hanging out chatting and fishing, and playing frizbee in park - and where I make a rainbow most every day.
