@alligatorob fabulous photos. You live in a wonderful area with access to a walk like that.

@oldDogBiking Sounds like a great day with Buddy, the best kind of day. Great photos. That looks like a field of Queen Anne's lace flowers, but nope, the leaves and your note say it's skunk cabbage.

I am not real sure about that it is skunk cabbage. A local told me that is what it was once so I been calling it that. I look at pics on the internet of skunk cabbage and the don't really seem to match.

@oldDogBiking Your photo with the bear and flowers intrigued me the other day, so I googled skunk cabbage images up close. It has a hooded flower, like a lily, according to what I saw. I can't be sure from this photo about the flowers, but they look different. The leaves look right, though. Another mystery!

    YES to the third power
(April 18) Great day today, my nephews came up to visit me keeping their 6 feet distance. I baked them their favorites snickerdoodle, flourless nut butter, and flourless nut butter chocolate chip cookies. I only had one of the last two flavors savoring it with earl grey tea and was fully satisfied with none kept in my home given all away. I kept well within my calorie budget. I think I've tapered my sweet tooth but still needs more work.

(April 17) Stressful work day today... too many almonds (stress balls for my mouth) According to my uac coach, I need to beat March 9 passes... ruh- row...

UMMMM ... I said AIM for less, not NEEDS to be less .... maybe compare "only UNintentional Pass days for the rest of the month? You DID have some INTENTIONAL ones in April, like for instance your BIRTHDAY ....

Maybe we need to explore "alternate stress balls for your mouth" options ....

Veratrum Californicum - Some people do call it skunk cabbage. Isn't the internet wonderful?

@Hollis100 I think you are right about those white flowers being Queen Anne's Lace. But they are distinct from that Veratrum Californicum.
I think it is a good combination though. Kudos to whoever came up with that arrangement.
