@nodm
Good to see your post, friend! We've all been so worried about you.
Thanks for the details about the symptoms -- that's really helpful.
It sounds like you went through the wringer, but thank goodness you're recovering now. Take it easy and eat those 900 calorie breakfasts!

YES to the triple power
I think the satiate scale is helping but it wasn't a stressful day at work today too. True test will be stress.5 -
@RangerRickL Fantastic snake photos. Thanks for sharing them with us.
I've come across a few snakes in the wild, black snakes, garter snakes, and a few copperheads. In my experience, snakes are like most wildlife and just want to be left alone. Hands down, human beings are the most dangerous animals I've ever encountered.3 -
22nd April
Was very tired yesterday and the rain didn't really stop until it was too late to go out, but I did manage 20 minutes between showers.
Calories: stayed under. Had nice leftovers for lunch and forced myself to eat a pre prepared salad, although I really wanted starch!
Tracking: Yes, logged everything.
Rain has now stopped. I should be able to get a decent walk in.
@nodm Thank you for describing those dreadful symptoms. If only the people who keep clamouring for opening everything up would listen! Great you are back!6 -

Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes, had to eat a ton at dinner as I had dental work done and my entire face was numb all day

Yes x 3. Calisthenics inside, 20 knot winds all day.
That rattler has a real attitude, maybe we should adopt it as our mascot.6 -
@nodm thanks for sharing this. It does sound truely terrible and terrifying. Glad you made it
3xyes it was a fantastic day in the UK yesterday. Very sunny but windy so I could walk around very comfortable. I did a 10 mile trek. I went looking for a couple of hawks but couldn't find them. The skylark were singing their heads off4 -
Yes x3
Second no-alcohol day this week which is good for me considering quarantine habits... Though it meant I filled that calorie gap with chips haha. But stayed under and did 25 min home workout. Today was arms/upper/core day.
Staying under while filling the gap with something ELSE if very good! Because you had the gap to fill.
(So long as they are monitored, moderated if potentially a mind-less nibble, and you have room in the diary .... nothing wrong with sometimes having chips! It's all about " this is what / how I can see myself not only CHOOSING to consume/not consume right now, but also shaping the lifestyle habits of my default routine to something I see myself maintaining for the rest of my life")4 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? More than that - pushed through to the very end of my exergame tour (developing every last tree and bench on Rhythm Island) which gave me over 8000 steps within ~ an hour.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes - even left fitbit exercise credits in the pot
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes

@BMcC9 insightful post!
Pre-quarantine, my no-wine days were on gym days. Now they're on frozen food / canned soup days. I think this is because when I'm cooking I like a glass and then have more with dinner to accompany the food. But if it's just prepared food then I don't feel the need for a wine pairing.
That's also part of why I bought some chips again after trying to cut them out in previous months.
I tried buying smaller bags so it's harder to accidentally graze, as you say. For anything where it's one big container I will measure some out, then close it back up and put away.4 -

Better yet .... invest in suitable-sized zip-lock bags (freezer style is sturdier, and can be used for NOT-going-to-be-fozen things too, like for instance ..... chips!) or some other kind of suitable sized reusable storage option. As soon as the big-bag comes into the house (after suitable decontamination rituals are completed) haul out the storage options, the digital scale and start making your OWN "snack-sized pre-measured servings" that then go into the cupboard or pantry (or freezer or whatever).
You won't have to stop-and-measure - but at the same time you can pre-plan / pre-log it into your day any day (because you already know what / how much / how many cals) and also know EXACTLY how much you had, because the empty bags are sitting there, waiting to be counted - washed - reused for the next prepacked snack.
And the trip to the pantry cupboard plus taking it out plus opening the zip-lock forces you to consider "Do I REEEEEAAAAALY need this right-this-second or will I postpone for an hour?" and after an hour, you decide you don't really want it right then after all. Or you still do - so log it and THEN eat it.
Once the world opens up more again - it's also a handy way to always have a PLANNED grab-and-go-to in the purse / back-pack / car in case of need when out of the house ... something you enjoy, yet planned so that limits the idea of "MUST impulse-buy" something that might not fit plans - and then forget to readjust daily log plan to include it ..... until almost midnight ... with no time to compensate via exercise ....
Not that ALL impulse-buying has to be kiboshed at all times .... it just means that you have OPTIONS. It becomes a conscious CHOICE, to be savored as a special treat.4 -
What a great idea! Saving this to do once my current stash runs out!1
