My wife is a retired nurse who has never cut anyone’s hair.
But, she did a very nice job on my old head!19 -
Yes X3 My husband and I went for a nice walk this morning. At some point I turned to him and said ‘ Is there any point of this that is not uphill?’ Got a good workout in this afternoon. Lost slightly over 5 lbs in the last ten days. I’m hoping this continues.15

@RangerRickL I'm no hairdresser, but it looks like she did a pretty good job, especially with the balding patches 😉. Mind you, these retired nurses are a force to be reckoned with! My 97-year-old Mum is one and she'll turn her hand to anything. She told me she is cutting her own hair now.
@lexabeep Well done!
I love the time differences between people in this challenge!7 -
Oooopsies. I forgot to post yesterday. Too much Cinco de Mayo celebrations with social distancing of course.
@RangerRickL Not too shabby! It looks good on you. My mama is a nurse. She is a woman of many talents including the makeshift and extemporaneous ones. : )
@craigo3154 Sorry to hear about your ordeal. I must have missed the discussion. You might want to check for a “hole in the heart” but you can’t see that on a regular echo. A friend of mine needed a bubble. Hope they don't find anything serious. Good luck.
Got caught up on the past 2 days of posts. ( I think).
Yesterday x3
No passes used
I picked up a bad habit in the past month and I am trying to gradually wean off the McDonalds Egg McMuffin sandwiches. : )
Prayers to all especially those who are struggling8 -

Exercised: Yes (7.5km walk in 62 mins - hills)
Tracked: Yes
Budget: Yes
Faster walk today. Wearing holter monitor. They did not ask for a max heart rate test, but they got one anyway.
Echocardiogram today. They did also check for hole in heart too (bubble test), no hole. Nothing serious found yet. They are trying to find the cause of the TIA (mini-stroke) last month.Blood pressure when tested was 107/56. My blood pressure readings are consistently on the low side of normal.
Doppler ultrasound of the carotid artery came back showing no restrictions or narrowing.
The only thing out of place is my cholesterol. High LDL, moderate HDL and triglycerides. Although I have almost no trans-fats in my diet. Consequently I am now taking statins. However I have to be careful as both my parents have bad reactions to statins. Also both parents have a history of high total cholesterol.
Prior to the most recent anti-depressant, my HDL was high and my LDL was moderate.
The more I search and read, the more convinced I am the prime cause of the TIA was the anti-depressant medication I was on. As the anti-depressant medication was not having a marked positive effect on mood, I am stopping it and looking to try another. Finding one that is effective for me, that does not lower blood pressure, that does not raise LDL cholesterol (or lower HDL cholesterol), and that does not make me drowsy seems to be quite an ask.
Need to return the holter monitor tomorrow.
@RangerRickL . Rose did a good job with your hair..... At some point I turned to him and said ‘ Is there any point of this that is not uphill?’ ....

Went for an hour long walk this morning, about half of that was with my nieces. They live nearby and haven't been out since the end of March. I'm more active than their parents so offered to take them with me on some of my off days. Great to catch up with them while getting some exercise in. Braved the shops again and read a book then evening was yoga and Jiu Jitsu class before cooking up a storm. I made a big meal and put 6 portions in the freezer for future days. A couple of treats today, but rationing the chocolate I bought which is progress for me.
All food logged and within my goal. Back to work tomorrow for a 5 day shift so I've got food planned which doesn't require prep.
Gonna see how many days I can go running in the morning, just because I can (and I get points from my insurance company which I can use towards flights one day when I'm allowed to travel again)!8 -

So, I’m dealing with the new normal at work. Used to be an hour or so on my feet. Now it’s half my day, much of it requiring me to move heavy beds, wheelchairs and stretchers with patients in them more often than not, so I’ve been counting that as deliberate exercise. Nothing quite gets your heart rate up like panting under a mask. They are hard to breathe in anyway, but pushing a bed across the facility? Whew! 🥵😷
So I did 173 minutes of measured exercise, am almost to 300% on my move calories burned (Apple Watch reference), ate all the food and then some, only dipping into a few of my 709 exercise calories, and logged every bit of it all.
I may need to change my settings from sedentary to a bit more active. 🤷♀️😂11 -

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, went a 4.6 mile walk with my father in law this morning and it was great! Also got in my mini body weight workout: 12 minutes and ab focused today. Man my legs are feeling all the steps I’ve taken today aha.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yup, thanks to those wonderful exercise calories! If I didn’t eat back some of the exercise calories I definitely wouldn’t feel full and would probably feel a little weak too. Keeping to 1200 can be tricky but I find 1500 (on exercise days) perfect for me. Now I know when I’m in maintenance it won’t be bad for me to keep the weight off because that’ll be in the 1500 range without exercising during the day.

@RangerRickL Rose did a good job on that haircut. I like your colorful bandana, too.
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, a 100-minute "freedom walk" in the nearby national park. My virus test was negative, so my lockdown ended today. The first thing I did was head out in the chilly, rainy weather for a long walk outside.

Upped my Adidas app workouts to 5 per week with two rest days. Spread out the days between different body parts.
Under on calories though weird assortment of foods today. Was on a family video call for my mom's 60th and that went long so I ended up deciding not to cook but instead just eat cheese and protein bars7 -
