Has anyone got any ideas or suggestions for replacing eating when emotional that have worked for them or even someone they know?
Just had a messy break up and keep findong myself at the cupboard with next to no willpower.

Hey, sorry for the breakup. Those suck.
There is an ‘announcement’ post in this group called ‘things to indulge in that are not food’ and there’s another with tools to stop emotional eating.
What I am trying to do personally is to make some unsweetened cold tea and go for a walk when I want to get food. If I can’t do that, I listen to podcasts and play with my cats.2 -
When you're hurting, give yourself the space to hurt. I've found that when I have an emotional speedbump to reckon with, if I do not allow myself to feel the poain then I will turn to food so I can numb it all away. In my experience, FEELING uncomfortable emotions fully disengages my need to run and hide in food.4
