Hi all,

I find I eat more when I’m happy about something. Out to celebrate things, cooking for the family for occasions, food as showing love. If I’m angry or very VERY sad, I have no appetite. Anyone else? Insight?

I haven't figured out all my triggers, I know if i'm bored or stressed. Sometimes happy and sometimes mad!

An emotional eater is triggered by a set of emotions; which ones obviously vary from person to person. For me, understanding WHY X emotion or emotional situation causes me to binge eat has been central in healing.

Words to chew on (pun intended) :D but seriously you really got me thinking beyond the binge/emotion. To the why?

Yes! I had a binge episode recently because I suffered a super painful injury, and I can specifically remember eating bread for no reason at all except to try and make the pain stop /:
