  • Don't give up Melissa! It's great that you have started to get back to watching what you eat and exercising!
Having a reliable place to hold you accountable as well as provide you with not only nutritional guidance and monitering but also exercise guidance has been proven many times to be the most successful way not only to lose weight, but to keep it off!!!
Weight Watchers might be working wonders for your girlfriend but might not the be the best fit for you. You should look into various programs and see what is best for your lifestyle, and your weight loss goals.

I would be more than happy to set you up with a free consultation at our center where you can meet me (the nutrition counselor) and Dr Bahl (the center physician) - we get a chance to determine your BMI (body mass index), your frame size (small, medium, or large-can be 40 lb difference from small to large frame), what your weight goal is, your fat percentage, pounds of fat, pounds of lean mass, and pounds of water that you are carrying, we also determine your BMR (basal metabolic rate) - all these factors play a major role in the determination of what program would be the best for you! We do not belive that one size fits all here :)

I would encourage you to look into Weight Watchers and other programs available in your area as well as our center. Remember its 80% nutrition and 20% exercise to get the weight off and more importantly to keep it off. So make sure that you choose a program that not only helps you get the weight off, but helps you even more to make sure you keep it off!!!!

Have a great day Melissa - NEVER GIVE UP!!!

Hello, I started Physician’s Weight Loss Jan 30, 2020. Today is March 21, we are in the midst of this horrible COVID-19 and I am down 26 lbs. I am determined that when these virus restrictions are lifted, I will emerge healthier and slimmer. I am taking advantage of the fact that restaurants are closed. It forces me to stay home, cook, ad eat on plan. My goal is a 60 lb loss so I have 34 lbs to go, and 4 lbs to the halfway point. I’m guessing it will take all of April, May and June to lose the remaining weight.

I’m back!! I started Jan 30. Today is June 7 and I am down 47 pounds. Starting weight- 240.5; current weight-193.2!! I’m 3 lbs away from the 50lb mark, and after that 10 lbs to go for a total loss of 60 lbs. I even overheard my husband last night telling my son how good I look!!
