Match 10 8/17-8/23 Ravenclaw vs Slytherin, Gryffindor vs Hufflepuff
Match 4 - Finals 8/24-8/31 TBD

Here are the rules:

The Basics:
• Participation in quidditch matches is completely voluntary.
• Quidditch matches will take place throughout the term, running Monday-Sunday. At the end of each match, the house with the most Quidditch Points wins the match and receives 15 House Points towards the House Cup.
• The Match discussion post will be posted the day prior to it beginning
• The Quidditch Finals will be played by the two houses that have accrued the most quidditch points after all houses have played each other. (Keep in mind that this doesn't necessarily mean that the two houses with the most wins will advance to the finals, so always put in your best effort in every match!)
• The House that wins the Quidditch Finals Match will win the Quidditch Cup and their win will be recorded in the Trophy Room (note that if we have more rounds of this group, we will move the Trophy Room)

How to play:
Each student will keep track of their exercise minutes throughout the designated match time period. (Any time spent doing a physical activity can be counted.)

All students who participate in a quidditch match are subjected to a minute cap. As we don't want students to overexert (and possibly injure) themselves, we have implemented a minute cap per match of 1260 for all participants. (That’s enough minutes to exercise 3 hours a day for 7 days.)

There will also be a variety of bonus videos. Anyone can choose to complete videos for bonus points up to 7 times per match. The bonus points that are assigned to the workouts will be announced when each workout/match discussion is posted.

How to receive credit:
All students can share their current minutes/workouts completed throughout the week in the quidditch match forum for some good natured competition.

*Remember - Every point counts, so do not feel bad if you can only contribute 30 points for the entire match, while others are posting 1000 (we may have some people with very active jobs such as factory work and construction, but we also may have those with disabilities that restrict their movement.) Just remember, your 30 points could be the 30 points that win the game!

Is this 1260 total for the house? Or for each participant? Not that I get anywhere close to that number, mind you, but I just wanted to make sure I have it straight in my head.

This will have to be the way I earn points for House Hufflepuff since I can't find my fitbit. :)

    Thanks!

@seilidhe 1260 per person :) its a big number however I wanted to make sure to be inclusive of those who may be focusing on competing, work long hours in a nursing home etc.
Agreed :) I thought it might be fun to track this way as well.

Thanks Megan. I thought that would be the case. I'm lucky to break 700 per month, much less 1200 in a week. Hahahaha! So, House Hufflepuff, I'll do what I can. :)

Not as much time out there this week. Too damned hot.

So, checking in for House Hufflepuff - only about 90 minutes this past week.
