Yesterday, this post really needs to be highlighted:
@alligatorob
"Yes, yes, and yes. It was a good day.
My latest NSV is fitting into 34 waist Levis, first time since high school! And that was a very long time ago. Last year I was wearing size 62 pants, big change. When I start to put the new Levis on I can't believe my body will fit into such small pants."
Wow! Well done, Rob!

Yes x three. Had a great day sitting in the sun on the local beach. And it was pretty much clear of people! Everyone was good about giving each other space it was really nice. Hope you all are having a great week.

Another great day for me. Beachfront run with my housemate and got 5km in under 35 minutes plus I ran the whole thing for the first time in ages. Went shopping and resisted treats so my food was all good choices. Housemate went out with boyfriend so I did zoom Jiu Jitsu with a pillow as my partner but also got in 20 minutes of yoga for 40+ Warriors (my housemate refuses to try this one as she is 30) and 20 minutes of shoulder rehab. Food logged and under budget which is reflecting on the scale nicely. Very close to my next mini goal.
Had an awesome chat with coach about some aspects of my Jiu Jitsu. He understands me so well and in many ways is similar to me so is able to help me process the mental side of it all much easier. Running is my thinking time so lots of running lately gets me processing my game quite well.16 -

Holy cow!
132 minutes of exercise, logged all, came in under.
Zero passes used, which is good, as I may need them tomorrow and Friday.
While getting a patient ready for transport this morning, I already had DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) after having busted my butt on Monday and Tuesday. I had to get a potty chair and a couple of stacking visitor chairs out of an incredibly small room to get an incredibly big bed out. The potty went out easy, but the two chairs were stacked and heavy!
Now, having been a weight lifting fanatic for several years back in 2013-2016, I know how to lift heavy *kitten*; lift with the knees, contract your abs and keep everything as close to your body as possible. The chairs went up easy, and halfway across I realized how HEAVY they really were! 🥵 everything was okay until I set them down and something in my back spasmed! 😱 I chalked it up to being simply over-sore, and went on about my way. Finished the transport and stopped at my office for some ibuprofen to help with some of the inflammation.
Four transports later I was feeling a burning down my left leg from my butt to the back of my knee. I was getting back to back assignments, so it was a couple hours before I could get to employee health to get this checked out. Needless to say, the sent me home, given I couldn’t move anything else today. The said I’d probably be more sore tomorrow, so I go in at 7 and report to my nurse at 730 for further assessment.
On the bright side? I got some well deserved rest with ice packs down the back of my leggings all afternoon. 😂 Also, here is a picture of a feral kitten we are adopting:
Her name is Buffy and she is, we think, between 4-5 weeks old. 🥰
