Too often, UAC team members lament the fact that they are getting stronger, fitter, and losing inches, but not losing weight. Focusing on weight loss is often a mistake. One pound of muscle which is a fat burner, is smaller than one pound of fat. Celebrate when you are losing inches but not weight!

@RangerRickL This is exactly what is happening with me. I saw my coach this weekend for the first time in 3 months. His first comment was that I'd lost weight. The scale has only dropped 3kgs, but as I only picked up 6kgs in the year that I was unable to train, I don't expect it to drop much. However, in this time I have got back to various forms of training and my body is changing back into the athletic composition that it lost. I see evidence of this in my fitness, strength and stamina.
The weight is important in my sport but competitions are still a long way off due to Covid so I have time to drop the extra kgs in a healthy manner.12 -
Pass day 1 for me. Plans changed multiple times during the day so I never got to exercise and I ate over calories. At least it was a work day so I got a fair amount of activity in there and I didn't go overboard on food, just slightly over normal budget.8

7th July
Exercise: Yes, 40+ minutes walking. I can only book 2 swimming pool sessions a week and there were no morning fitness classes, so walking it had to be. Pretty hot, so limited!
Calories: Yes, stayed under. Tried to see a film at the cinema, but it wasn't on and I had already seen the alternative. Went and had a beer instead and cancelled the snack I had planned in order to stay under budget. You have to be a bit canny on this challenge!
Tracking: Yes, logged everything.
Quite a good day, got a lot done.10 -
Yes, yes and yes today
My usual 3 hours of walking the dog.
Work is picking up again after the confinement, so I need to start being much more focused on time management to ensure I get my exercise and plan my food properly around everything!
My plan for tomorrow is to draw up a new weekly timetable10 -

Yesx3 day! Just under budget in calories. Enjoyed a bit of ice cream post lunch but was good with all meals so that helped being under budget. For exercise- took my toddler to the playground today-60 mins. Lot of exercise for me running behind him. Thanks for the reminder, Rick. Yes, have to focus more on NSVs. Have been scared to measure inches and have been putting it off. But will do today. 😢9

Exercise: yes, just barely to be honest, the weather hasn't been very forgiving lately. There's been floods everywhere and warnings on the news to not go out much unless absolutely necessary..
Calories: yes! I'm very happy I managed to get back to it after the pass day I had. It can be so hard to get back on track after a couple of days off unplanned fun, so this is good for me!
Track: yes! I made sure to tell everything properly
Also sorry for the repost, I realised I posted in the wrong discussion thread.. I'm not too sure how to delete old posts yet though9 -
Wanted to a bit more of exercise today, but got caught up with work and now I'm just exhausted. Glad I managed to put my 20 min early in the morning.

Today was a good day. Was able to easily get my exercise in and do more than normal although quiet hot and humid. Finished up watering my thirsty plants.
Calories yes
Within range. Mostly good choices. Was going to turn down pizza that my hubby brought in. Looked up my calories left and could easily fit it in...alrhough not at all my normal fare

Yes, it's hot out there this summer!
I got up at 4:30 a.m. to do active stretching before going out to the barn to feed the horses. I sat outside in the early morning light and had a cup of coffee. After that cup, I exercised a horse and then exercised on a horse. It was a brilliant morning ride.

Calories: well under my limit9 -
Yep, yep, yep. Exercise was a 20 minute walk and a 10 minute run6

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? 2 x 5 minutes on bike plus more than 6300 steps (mostly on my usual evening stroll)
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Fitbit says well under even though it doesn't seem to be picking up the second bike ride (~50 cals) yet. But I am not hungry for more, so won't have any more evening snack
